Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus 12.4 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT975ABY)

This is a 3.85V, 9800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus 12.4. It fits SM-T970 and SM-T975 variants, including the 2020 Galaxy Tab S7+ 12.4. It uses the OEM part number EB-BT975ABY and slots into the same battery bay as the original cell.

  • SM-T970 and SM-T975 compatibility: Both model numbers share the same chassis dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers the Wi-Fi and LTE variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an SM-T975 unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC, protection circuits tripped at expected voltage thresholds, and the cell held capacity across repeated cycles without fault codes.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After installing this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Galaxy Tab S7 Plus fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell — skipping this cycle leaves the percentage readout inaccurate for weeks.

Why the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus shuts down at 15–25% after a battery swap

The shutdown happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the degraded original cell. When the new cell's actual voltage profile diverges from that stored map, the IC misreads remaining capacity and signals a low-battery cutoff early. Running the display at full brightness alongside Wi-Fi amplifies the voltage sag, which triggers the cutoff sooner than the percentage would suggest. One complete discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted recharge cycle overwrites the old calibration data and resolves this.

Fast charging not available on the Tab S7 Plus after battery replacement

Samsung's 45W Super Fast Charging on this tablet requires the charge IC to complete a successful USB-PD handshake with the charger — and that negotiation resets when the battery is swapped. On the first charge after installation, the system often defaults to standard charging while it re-evaluates the new cell's internal resistance and capacity baseline. Plug in with the original Samsung 45W adapter and allow one full uninterrupted charge cycle to complete. After that cycle, USB-PD negotiation resumes normally and fast charge becomes available again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is showing 80% battery right after a full charge — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the SM-T970 and SM-T975 was calibrated to your old, degraded battery and doesn't yet have an accurate voltage map for the new cell. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff without interruption, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle resets the calibration and the percentage readout stabilises — typically to within 2–3% accuracy.

The Tab S7 Plus cuts off by itself at around 20% remaining — happens mostly when the screen is on full brightness with Wi-Fi active.

This is a voltage sag issue, not a defective cell. The new battery's voltage curve under combined display and Wi-Fi load drops faster than the uncalibrated fuel gauge expects, so the charge IC interprets it as a critical low-battery event and forces a shutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. The fuel gauge re-maps the cell's actual voltage profile and the early cutoff stops. After calibration, the system tolerates the combined load correctly down to around 3.4V per cell before shutoff.

Fast charging on my Tab S7 Plus dropped from 45W to standard slow charging after I swapped the battery — using the same Samsung charger.

After a battery replacement, the charge IC on the SM-T975 resets its USB-PD negotiation state. On the first post-swap charge, the system defaults to conservative charging while it assesses the new cell's internal resistance. Connect the original Samsung 45W adapter directly — not through a hub or cable longer than 1 metre — and let the first charge complete from low battery to 100% without interrupting it. Once that baseline cycle is logged, the USB-PD handshake re-establishes and 45W charging resumes on subsequent sessions.
