Fits Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro (SM-G715, SM-G715FN/DS, SM-G715U) and replaces OEM EB-BG715BBE battery.
Nominal voltage 3.85V and 3200mAh capacity deliver full charge cycles on the Xcover Pro's modem and display load.
Connector slides into the battery slot with locking tab engagement — orientation marked on cell and housing.
We bench tested this cell on a Galaxy Xcover Pro test unit; BMS accepted charge at 2A without cutoff or thermal fault.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BG715BBE)

This is a 3200mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V nominal, replacing part number EB-BG715BBE in the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro. It fits the SM-G715, SM-G715FN/DS, and SM-G715U variants. The Xcover Pro is a rugged smartphone — drop-rated, PTT-capable — and this battery matches the original cell's dimensions and BMS handshake exactly.

  • SM-G715 variant compatibility: The SM-G715, SM-G715FN/DS, and SM-G715U all share the same 3.85V power rail, connector pinout, and fuel gauge IC communication protocol. One cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an SM-G715FN/DS under a mixed modem-plus-screen load. The BMS held stable voltage above 3.6V through the mid-discharge range and executed clean low-voltage cutoff at the expected floor — no false trips on the PTT radio burst draw.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated reference baseline.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xcover Pro after a cell swap

The Xcover Pro's modem and display draw a combined spike that exceeds what a degraded — or freshly installed, uncalibrated — cell can sustain at low state-of-charge. The fuel gauge IC still reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell's actual voltage drops below the shutdown threshold under that load. This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity failure. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates the premature cutoff on most units.

USB-PD fast charge rejected on first cycle after replacement

Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging handshake runs between the charge IC and the BMS on the new cell. On the first cycle, the BMS defaults to a conservative current limit until it completes an initial calibration pass — the phone may show "Charging" rather than "Fast Charging." This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the cell or cable. Plug in with the original Samsung charger, let the first full charge complete without interruption, and fast charging will re-enable on the second cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Xcover Pro shuts off at around 25% but the percentage was showing fine all day — what's happening?

That's a voltage cliff. The cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold under the combined load of the modem and screen, even though the fuel gauge IC still reads 25% based on its old calibration curve. The percentage readout and the actual cell voltage are out of sync after a cell swap. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Xcover Pro jumps around erratically after fitting the new cell — sometimes it gains 5% without charging.

The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell has a slightly different impedance and voltage profile, so the IC's stored reference no longer matches real-world state-of-charge. The percentage will stabilise after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles as the coulomb counter builds a new baseline. Do not interrupt those first cycles — let each one run from shutdown all the way to 100%.

My Xcover Pro won't power on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — it just shows a blank screen.

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button or show a charging indicator immediately. Connect the original Samsung charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes; the BMS uses a trickle pre-charge current to bring the cell back above the recovery threshold. Once the charging animation appears, the BMS has cleared the lockout and normal charging resumes.
