Fits Galaxy Z Flip F707U and F707W models, replacing Samsung OEM battery EB-BF707ABY.
This 3.86V, 630mAh lithium polymer cell powers the foldable display and core logic without voltage sag under sustained modem load.
Connector clips into the battery slot at the base spine — orientation is keyed; the retention tab seats flush against the frame tab.
We bench-tested this pack on a Galaxy Z Flip 5G dock. The fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell curve after one full discharge-charge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip F707U / 5G — 3.86V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.86V, 630mAh (2.43Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the cover display battery in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip F707U and Galaxy Z Flip 5G (SM-F707U1, SM-F707W). It fits the compact secondary cell position inside the folding chassis. Use this part when the original cell degrades and the phone begins shutting down early or reporting erratic charge levels.

  • F707U and 5G variant fitment: The F707U, SM-F707U1, and SM-F707W all share the same 3.86V cell format and connector pinout. The fold hinge imposes tight dimensional tolerances — this cell matches the 42.70 × 22.60 × 5.30mm envelope required to close cleanly without pressure on the flex cable.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the F707U platform. The BMS accepted the cell without handshake errors, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage taper without fault flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points. Skipping this step causes the OS to report inaccurate percentages for the first several cycles.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z Flip after a cell swap

The Galaxy Z Flip runs two power-hungry loads simultaneously — the foldable OLED and the 5G modem. When either ramps current draw, the cell voltage must hold above the BMS cutoff threshold. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can appear to have 25% remaining while the actual open-circuit voltage is already near 3.5V under load. The BMS trips the cutoff, and the phone shuts down without warning. One full slow-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates most premature cutoffs.

USB-PD fast charge not recognised on first cycle after installation

On the first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC may reject the fast-charge handshake and fall back to 5W standard charging. This happens because the BMS has not yet established a baseline impedance reading for the new cell. It is not a fault with the charger or cable. Complete one full charge at standard rate — on the second connection, the USB-PD negotiation proceeds normally and fast charge engages.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Z Flip shuts off at around 25% battery after I replaced the cell — is the new battery faulty?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter inside the phone was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage shown does not match the actual cell voltage under 5G modem or display load. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off naturally — then charge fully to 100% at standard rate without fast charging. After that cycle, the fuel gauge resets its reference points and the shutdowns stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges after I put in the new cell — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC works harder during the constant-current phase and generates more heat. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles on a replacement cell. The warmth should reduce noticeably once the cell has cycled a few times and impedance drops. If it stays hot after five full cycles, check that the replacement cell is seated flat and not pinched by the hinge assembly.

My Z Flip was stored for months and now won't power on at all after I installed the new battery — what's happening?

If the old cell discharged below 2.5V before or during storage, the BMS may have entered a deep-discharge lockout state and that state can carry over to the board. Connect the phone to the original Samsung charger — not a third-party cable — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the system to bring the bus voltage above the BMS wake threshold before the phone will respond to the power button.
