Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Saramonic VmicLink5 RX+ / TX Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 7.4V 1100mAh (8.14Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Saramonic VmicLink5 RX+ receiver and VmicLink5 TX+, TX, and TX bodypack transmitter units. It fits the compact 49.20 × 32.90 × 14.00mm battery bay directly. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.
- Receiver and transmitter compatibility: The RX+ receiver and TX transmitter units in the VmicLink5 system share the same battery format and voltage rail. One cell type covers both roles in the kit — no separate SKUs needed for each unit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the VmicLink5 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without faulting, and the charging circuit reached cutoff cleanly at the expected voltage ceiling.
- First-install charge cycle: Connect the unit to its OEM charger and run a full charge from flat before your first recording session. The VmicLink5 system reads battery state from a voltage curve — a full initial cycle lets it calibrate the remaining-charge indicator accurately from the start.
Why the VmicLink5 RX+ shows a battery level that doesn't match actual charge
The VmicLink5 receiver maps battery percentage to a voltage discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new replacement cell can sit on a slightly different discharge curve — especially in the mid-range — causing the indicator to read high or low by a visible margin. This is a mapping offset, not a fault. Running two or three full charge-discharge cycles through the unit normalises the curve the receiver uses and brings the indicator back into alignment. After conditioning, the display tracks actual charge level correctly.
VmicLink5 TX transmitter cutting audio mid-take
A transmitter dropout mid-recording usually comes from the BMS tripping on a low-voltage event rather than true depletion. If the cell is partially discharged and the RF transmitter draws a surge — particularly during frequency hopping or signal loss recovery — the BMS can read an instantaneous voltage dip below its cutoff threshold and disconnect the output. Power the TX unit off, wait ten seconds, then power back on. If dropouts repeat at the same approximate charge level, charge the cell to full and avoid running the transmitter below 3.7V per cell (7.4V combined) under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My VmicLink5 RX+ receiver shows full bars on the new battery but cuts to empty and shuts off without warning — what's happening?
This is a voltage-threshold mismatch between the new cell's discharge curve and the receiver's indicator mapping. The RX+ reads remaining charge by tracking voltage, and a fresh cell holds a flatter discharge profile than a worn original — so it reads "full" for longer then drops fast at the knee of the curve. It's not a fault with the cell. Run two full charge-discharge cycles through the receiver and the indicator will track more accurately against the actual remaining charge.
The VmicLink5 TX bodypack transmitter won't power on at all after fitting the new battery — is the cell dead?
Almost certainly not. If the replacement cell arrived in a low state of charge, the TX unit's BMS may refuse to boot until the cell is above its minimum startup voltage. Connect the transmitter to the OEM charger for at least 20 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge LED doesn't activate immediately, leave it connected — some BMS circuits take a few minutes to wake a deeply discharged cell before registering a charge current.
The replacement battery drains noticeably faster in cold outdoor shoots compared to indoor use — is the cell underspec?
No — this is normal lithium-ion behaviour at low temperatures. Li-ion cells lose available capacity as temperature drops because electrolyte ion mobility slows, which raises internal resistance and compresses the usable voltage window. At 0°C, a 1100mAh cell may deliver noticeably less capacity before hitting the BMS cutoff voltage. Keep the receiver or transmitter inside a jacket pocket between takes and the cell temperature — and effective capacity — will recover. Capacity returns fully when the unit warms back to room temperature.
