Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schok Flip SC3218T / SC3218B — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SB2000)
This is a 3.8V, 1700mAh Li-ion cell built to the SB2000 specification for the Schok Flip SC3218T and SC3218B flip phones. It powers the modem, display, and cellular radio stack. Drop it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge through a normal day of calls and standby.
- SC3218T and SC3218B coverage: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal rail — the SB2000 fits either without modification to the housing or charge circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SC3218T platform. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first connection and held cutoff voltage correctly at both top and bottom of the curve.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC hasn't seen before, the OS reads the state of charge incorrectly and triggers a low-voltage shutdown. The modem radio draw accelerates the drop — it pulls a burst current the gauge doesn't anticipate. One full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and resolves the early shutdown.
Phone reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the SC3218T learns its reference curve from the installed cell over time. After a swap, the IC is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance and capacity profile, so the percentage display drifts — often reading 100% too quickly or dropping fast in the final 30%. Run two full cycles without interruption: discharge until the phone shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the second cycle the gauge corrects to within a few percent of actual state of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Schok Flip SC3218T shuts off on its own around 25% after I put in the new battery — is it defective?
The cell is not defective. The fuel gauge IC in the SC3218T is still reading the discharge curve of the old, worn cell, and it triggers a low-voltage cutoff at the wrong point on the new cell's curve. The modem's burst current draw makes this worse — it pulls a spike the miscalibrated gauge interprets as a cliff. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual curve.
The Schok Flip SC3218T won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's happening?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the SB2000 cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage from deep discharge. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB hub — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. Most BMS circuits on this cell re-initialise once they detect a trickle charge input above the lockout threshold, and the phone will show a charging indicator before it powers on.
The Schok Flip SC3218T feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges with the new cell — should I stop charging?
Mild warmth on the first one or two charges is normal. A new cell with slightly higher internal impedance causes the charge IC to do more work converting voltage as it fills the cell — that energy dissipates as heat. It should not be hot to the touch, just warm. If the device is too hot to hold comfortably against your palm after 30 minutes on charge, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before continuing; after the first two full cycles, warmth during charging should drop noticeably.
