Fits Sena Prism action camera, replaces OEM part SCA-A0102.
3.7V, 800mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sufficient capacity for typical shooting sessions without external charging access.
Connector slides into camera battery slot with positive terminal facing outward; locking tab seats flush against camera body frame.
We bench-tested this cell in the Prism body; BMS accepted voltage handshake on first insertion with no authentication delay.
On initial installation, charge fully within the camera body before extended recording — Sena's fuel gauge requires one complete charge cycle from the device to calibrate battery-remaining display accuracy.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sena Prism / SCA10 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SCA-A0102)

This 3.7V, 800mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Sena Prism and Prism Bluetooth Action Camera (SCA10, S7A-SP15). It matches the OEM part number SCA-A0102 and the original 39.10 x 34.92 x 9.10mm form factor. Riders and outdoor shooters use it to swap cells on location without stopping to charge.

  • Prism and SCA10 platform fit: The Sena Prism line — including the SCA10 and S7A-SP15 variants — shares the same compact housing and connector pinout. All models draw from the same 3.7V rail, so one cell covers the full Prism family.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Prism body. The BMS accepted the cell without errors, voltage hold through recording was stable, and cutoff triggered cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without triggering a hard fault.
  • First-use charge cycle on the Prism body: Insert the new cell and charge it fully through the camera body before your first recording session. The Prism's battery-remaining indicator calibrates its threshold map during that first in-body charge cycle — skipping it causes the percentage display to read inaccurately from the start.

Why the Prism cuts recording unexpectedly before the battery indicator hits zero

The Prism's BMS uses voltage thresholds mapped to the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell with a slightly different curve can trigger the low-voltage cutoff while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Running one full charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body lets the BMS re-map its thresholds to the new cell. After that cycle, cutoff behaviour aligns with what the indicator shows.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the Prism display

Erratic percentage readings on the Prism usually mean the indicator is referencing stale threshold data from the previous cell. The display maps voltage steps to percentage bands — if the new cell's resting voltage sits between two stored bands, the indicator jumps. Power the camera off, leave it off for 60 seconds, then charge fully via the camera body until the indicator shows 100%. That resets the voltage-to-percentage mapping to the current cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sena Prism shows "no battery" or won't recognise the new cell — is the replacement faulty?

It isn't faulty. The Prism runs an authentication check on first install, and a new cell can fail that check if it hasn't been charged via the camera body yet. Insert the cell, connect the Prism to its OEM charger, and let it complete one full charge cycle. After that cycle the camera body accepts the cell and the "no battery" error clears.

The Prism battery percentage drops from 80% straight to 20% with no warning — what's causing that?

The Prism's percentage display uses fixed voltage bands to estimate charge. A replacement cell's discharge curve doesn't always match those stored bands exactly, so the indicator skips bands as voltage drops through a gap in the map. Run one full discharge — recording until the camera shuts itself off — then charge to 100% through the camera body. That forces the BMS to remap its bands to the new cell's actual discharge profile.

The Prism cell drains noticeably faster in cold weather than it does indoors — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. Li-Polymer chemistry loses available capacity as temperature drops because ion mobility in the electrolyte slows down. At around 0°C a 800mAh cell can deliver noticeably less usable capacity than it does at room temperature. Keep a spare cell in an inside jacket pocket to maintain its temperature, and swap to the warm cell when the cold one cuts out early.
