Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sharp Aquos V7 Plus / SH-C06 — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp049FA)

This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Sharp Aquos V7 Plus and SH-C06 smartphones. It uses OEM part number TLp049FA and matches the original cell's dimensions at 92.00 × 65.00 × 3.50mm. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • Aquos V7 Plus and SH-C06 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on compatible hardware. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination signals and held voltage within spec under sustained screen and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Aquos V7 Plus reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Sharp Aquos V7 Plus uses a coulomb-counter-based fuel gauge IC that builds its discharge model from the original cell's capacity curve. When you install a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC keeps reporting percentages against the old curve until it completes at least one full, uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. Under combined modem and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, hitting the BMS undervoltage cutoff while the screen still shows 20–30%. It happens most often in the first two cycles before the fuel gauge recalibrates. Run one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off — once the IC maps the new cell's voltage curve, the cutoff aligns to the correct percentage. If shutdowns continue past cycle three, check that resting voltage after a full charge reads at or above 4.35V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sharp Aquos V7 Plus won't turn on after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead?

It's almost certainly a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a lithium-polymer cell discharges below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS cuts all output to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing power. If the BMS recovers, the charge LED will activate and the phone will boot normally once voltage climbs above the recovery threshold near 3.0V.

USB-PD fast charging isn't working on the first cycle after I installed this battery — why?

On the first charge cycle, the BMS in a new cell may not immediately negotiate the fast-charge handshake with the phone's charge IC. The controller defaults to standard 5V charging until it confirms the cell's internal resistance and temperature profile are within fast-charge parameters. Complete one full standard charge cycle first. Fast charging typically activates automatically from the second cycle onward once the charge IC has a baseline profile for the new cell.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging — is something wrong with the replacement cell?

Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal. A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during charging than a worn cell does, because internal resistance is slightly higher before the cell is broken in. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging pauses automatically, check that the charging brick output matches Sharp's recommended wattage and that nothing is covering the rear of the phone during the charge. Warmth should reduce noticeably after two to three full cycles.
