Fits Sharp SH9110, SH9110C, SH6228C, SH6220C and 13 additional models; replaces OEM part XN-1BT97.
3.7V 750mAh Li-ion cell delivers 2.78Wh — enough to restore full standby and talk time on this compact smartphone.
Connector mates directly into the SH9110 battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side of the pack.
We ran full discharge cycles on a stock SH9110 unit; the BMS accepted charge immediately without fault codes or thermal drift.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sharp SH9110 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XN-1BT97)

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion battery for the Sharp SH9110 and SH9110C smartphones. It also fits the SH6228C, SH6220C, and related Sharp handsets sharing the same connector and voltage rail. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the device shuts down unexpectedly.

  • SH9110 and SH6220 series fit: These models share the same 3.7V cell form factor, contact layout, and BMS handshake protocol — the same replacement cell covers all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SH9110 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SH9110 after a cell swap

The SH9110's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour. Under screen-on or modem load, the phone hits a voltage cliff — the cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects and the device shuts off to protect the circuit. This is not a faulty battery. One full discharge and recharge cycle without fast charging forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new Li-ion cell arrives with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and some energy converts to heat — this is normal for the first two to three charge cycles. If the phone feels warm but not hot, and the heat fades after a few cycles, the cell is behaving correctly. If the device becomes too hot to hold or charging stops mid-cycle, check that the charger output does not exceed the rated input voltage for the SH9110 — 5V standard input.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sharp SH9110 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, which cuts all output to protect the cell from permanent damage. Connect the phone to a 5V charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold before normal charging begins. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering. If nothing appears after 45 minutes, check the charging cable and port before concluding the cell is at fault.

The battery percentage on my SH9110 jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 15% a minute later without any heavy use.

The fuel gauge IC on the SH9110 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. After a cell swap, the stored curve is wrong, and the IC makes large corrections when real voltage readings don't match its predictions — that's the jumping you see. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. The coulomb counter resets its baseline during this cycle, and erratic percentage readings typically stabilise within one to two cycles after that.

Fast charging stopped working on my SH9110 right after I fitted the replacement battery — the phone only trickle-charges now.

The phone's charging controller runs a handshake with the battery BMS before enabling higher charge current. On a new cell, the BMS sometimes does not complete that handshake on the very first cycle, so the controller defaults to a safe low-current rate. Remove the battery, reseat it firmly so all three contacts are flush, then connect the charger. If fast charge still does not engage, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first — after the BMS runs one complete charge cycle, it registers correctly with the controller and fast charge resumes on the next plug-in.
