Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shure GLXD1+ / GLXD+ Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (95A43507 / SB904)
This 3.7V, 3400mAh (12.58Wh) lithium-ion cell replaces the internal rechargeable battery in Shure GLXD+ and GLXD1+ wireless transmitter body packs. It fits the standard transmitter housing used across the GLXD+ handheld and beltpack series. Swap it in when your original cell no longer holds enough charge to carry a full performance or session.
- GLXD+ and GLXD1+ transmitter fit: These transmitters share the same internal bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full GLXD+ generation without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in a GLXD1+ beltpack and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault flags, held voltage through simulated transmit load, and passed the battery status read-back to the receiver correctly.
- GLXD+ charging dock protocol: Always charge this cell in the Shure SBC840 or compatible GLXD charging dock — do not attempt charging through third-party USB adapters wired to the contacts. The GLXD BMS expects a dock-side handshake to initiate the charge curve; bypassing it can leave the cell partially charged or trigger a protection lock.
Voltage sag under sustained GLXD+ transmit draw
The GLXD+ transmitter runs a 2.4GHz OFDM RF chain that pulls short, sharp current spikes during transmission bursts. A degraded or low-capacity cell sags below the BMS cutoff threshold during these spikes before the battery indicator registers low. This triggers a momentary shutdown that reads as audio dropout at the receiver rather than a battery warning. A fresh 3400mAh cell at full charge maintains headroom above that cutoff threshold through the transmit peaks.
Receiver loses lock on transmitter immediately after battery swap
After installing a new cell, the transmitter must complete a full power cycle before it re-establishes the RF link with the paired receiver. If you pull the old battery with the unit active or reinsert without powering fully off, the transmitter may come back on a mismatched channel state. Power the transmitter fully off, insert the new cell, power back on, and confirm the receiver shows a locked link — check for a solid green RF indicator on the receiver front panel.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GLXD1+ transmitter shows a full battery on the receiver but audio is cutting in and out mid-set — what's happening?
This is voltage sag under transmit load, not a true full charge. The GLXD+ RF chain pulls current spikes that a degraded cell can't sustain, dropping voltage below the BMS cutoff momentarily — the dropout happens before the indicator catches up. The battery indicator reads resting voltage between spikes, so it shows full even as the cell fails under load. Replace the cell and confirm resting voltage reads at or above 3.7V before the next performance.
I swapped the battery in my GLXD+ beltpack and now the receiver won't lock on to the transmitter at all — what do I check?
The transmitter needs a clean power cycle after any battery swap to re-establish the RF pairing handshake with the receiver. If the old cell was pulled while the unit was still powered, the transmitter can come back in a fault state that blocks link negotiation. Power the transmitter fully off, reseat the new cell, power on, and watch the receiver for a solid green RF lock indicator. If it still won't lock, re-run the pairing process from the receiver menu.
The new battery in my GLXD1+ charges in the dock but only lasts a fraction of a session — is the dock at fault or the cell?
A new Li-ion cell can ship with a partial charge and may show reduced capacity on the first one or two cycles before the cell reaches full formation. Run two or three full charge-discharge cycles in the Shure SBC840 dock before judging capacity. If capacity doesn't improve after three cycles, check the dock contacts for oxidation and clean with a dry cloth — a dirty contact interrupts the charge handshake and causes the dock to terminate the charge cycle early. After cleaning, run another full charge and verify the dock indicator reaches 100% before removing the cell.
