Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sichler PR-030 / PR-025 / PR-041 / PR-127 — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL062018-2S)
This is a 7.4V, 1800mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Sichler PR-030 robotic vacuum cleaner and compatible models including the PR-025, PR-041, and PR-127. It replaces OEM part number PL062018-2S. Fit it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full cleaning cycle.
- PR-030, PR-025, PR-041, PR-127 compatibility: These models share the same 7.4V two-cell lithium-polymer configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell number covers all of them. Swapping between models in this family does not require any adapter or firmware change.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PR-series unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly on first connect — no charge refusal, no protection-circuit lockout. Voltage under motor load stayed within the 6.8–8.4V operating window throughout.
- Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the PR-030 sitting on the charging dock between sessions. Continuous trickle charge on a lithium-polymer cell compresses the usable capacity window over time. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next run.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the PR-030
This happens because the motor draws more current than rated whenever airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter is the most common trigger. As current demand rises, the BMS may pull cell voltage below the motor controller's threshold before the fuel gauge registers a low reading. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not instantaneous load voltage — those are different measurements. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest; if suction holds, the battery is not the fault.
Motor cuts out mid-run then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the PR-030 hits a carpet edge or a debris blockage, the motor momentarily stalls and current spikes. The protection circuit opens to prevent cell damage, then resets once current drops — usually within two to five seconds. If this happens repeatedly on open hard floor with a clean filter, measure resting cell voltage after a full charge; it should read 8.3–8.4V. A cell sitting below 8.0V at rest after a full charge cycle has degraded and needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
My PR-030 keeps cutting out on carpet and restarting itself — is that the battery dying?
Not necessarily. That cut-and-recover behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip — the protection circuit opens when motor current spikes on a stall or blockage, then resets once load drops. Check the filter first; a restricted filter forces the motor to draw well above rated current on any surface resistance. If it still trips on clean hard floor with a fresh filter, charge the battery fully and check resting voltage — a healthy cell reads 8.3–8.4V at rest.
The vacuum seems to lose suction halfway through a clean even though the battery light isn't showing low — why?
The battery indicator tracks state-of-charge, not the instantaneous voltage the motor is seeing under load. A partially blocked filter makes the motor draw excess current, which drags cell voltage below the motor controller's minimum threshold before the gauge registers empty. Clean the filter and run again — if suction holds through a full cycle, the battery is not the cause. If suction still fades with a clean filter, the cell may have lost enough capacity that voltage sag under load starts earlier than the indicator predicts.
I've had this new replacement battery for a few months and it already seems weaker — could the dock be causing that?
Yes, continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on robotic vacuums. When the PR-030 sits on the dock between sessions, the charger delivers a sustained low-level charge that gradually narrows the lithium-polymer cell's usable voltage window. Remove the vacuum from the dock once the charge light confirms full — do not leave it docked overnight or between multi-day gaps. Charge only when the battery is meaningfully depleted and remove it promptly at full charge.
