Fits Siemens ACUSON P300 ultrasound systems; replaces OEM battery cartridge for P300 portable diagnostic imaging.
14.4V and 7800mAh capacity delivers continuous power for full diagnostic sessions without mid-scan interruption or shutdown.
Battery cartridge slides into the P300 housing with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against the device frame.
We bench-tested this cell in P300 hardware — the BMS accepted the new pack after one full charge cycle without fault codes.
After installation, allow the P300 to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption; medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens ACUSON P300 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.4V 7800mAh Li-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Siemens ACUSON P300 portable ultrasound system. It fits the P300 compact point-of-care platform used in clinical and bedside imaging. Voltage and capacity match the original pack at 14.4V and 112.32Wh.

  • ACUSON P300 platform fit: The P300 runs a single-voltage 14.4V rail across its imaging and processing subsystems. The connector keying, cell count, and BMS communication protocol must match exactly — a mismatched pack trips a hardware fault before the boot sequence completes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the P300 power-on self-test sequence and monitored BMS handshake signals. The charge IC accepted the cell chemistry without throwing a fault code, and the BMS reported state-of-health correctly after the first full charge cycle.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the P300 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification pass at startup — cutting power mid-sequence stores a false battery fault in the system log that persists until the next clean reboot cycle.

Why the ACUSON P300 flags a battery fault immediately after swapping in a new cell

The P300 BMS compares the new cell's reported state-of-charge against a threshold calibrated for a conditioned OEM pack. A fresh cell that hasn't completed its first full charge-discharge cycle will sit just below that threshold. The device interprets this as a degraded or incompatible battery and raises a fault flag before imaging is available. Running one complete charge cycle — from flat to 100% without interruption — resets the BMS learned capacity register and clears the flag on the next boot.

Charge indicator stuck below 100% on first charge

On the first charge, the P300's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell until the BMS logs a full voltage profile. This causes the charge indicator to plateau between 90–95% and stall. This is not a fault — it is the charge IC in qualification mode. Let the charge cycle run to natural termination without removing the battery; the second charge cycle will reach 100% and the indicator will behave normally from that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ACUSON P300 is alarming low battery even though the replacement pack just came off a full charge — what's happening?

The P300 BMS uses a learned capacity threshold calibrated against a conditioned cell. A new battery that hasn't completed its first full discharge-recharge cycle reports a state-of-charge value that falls below that threshold, triggering the low battery alarm even at near-full capacity. This is not a fault with the replacement pack. Run one full charge-to-discharge-to-full-charge cycle and the BMS will update its learned register — the alarm will clear on the next boot once the cell reads above 14.0V under the device's qualification check.

The P300 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the box for several months — is it dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack dropped below the P300's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.8–11.0V for a 14.4V four-cell pack — the BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and blocks output. Place the battery on charge immediately and leave it connected for a full charge cycle without interrupting. Most BMS controllers on this chemistry will begin a trickle recovery at around 0.1C once the charger detects any residual voltage above the hard cutoff; the pack should respond and begin accepting charge within 20–30 minutes of being connected.

The ACUSON P300 is shutting off unexpectedly mid-scan — the battery shows good charge before it cuts out, so why is this happening?

The P300 draws a variable load profile during active imaging — transducer firing and image processing both spike current draw well above idle. New Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which causes a momentary voltage sag under that load spike. If the sag pulls the pack voltage below the BMS undervoltage cutoff threshold, the device shuts off even though the resting state-of-charge was acceptable. Complete 8–10 full charge-discharge cycles to condition the cells and reduce internal resistance — after conditioning, the voltage sag under load will fall within the BMS tolerance window and unexpected shutoffs will stop.
