Fits Silva Headlamp Hybrid model SV-38007; direct OEM battery replacement.
3.7V 1100mAh lithium-ion cell delivers consistent output across standard and boost modes.
Cylindrical format with flat positive terminal; seats directly into headlamp battery tube.
Bench testing showed clean voltage ramp on first charge; BMS accepted standard CC-CV profile without lockout.
On first installation, if the headlamp flickers during turbo mode, switch to standard mode — turbo draws peak current that exposes any contact resistance in the tube; running standard mode for two cycles seats the cell firmly and stabilizes the connection.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Silva Headlamp Hybrid — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SV-38007)

This is a 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Silva Headlamp Hybrid. It slots directly into the headlamp housing and restores full output to the light driver. Use the OEM part number SV-38007 to confirm fitment before ordering.

  • Silva Headlamp Hybrid fitment: The Headlamp Hybrid uses a single-cell Li-ion pack rated at 3.7V nominal. The driver circuit is tuned to this voltage rail, so swapping in a matched 3.7V cell keeps the driver operating within its designed input range across all output modes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a bench rig. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no overcharge trip and clean low-voltage shutoff before cell voltage dropped below safe floor.
  • Single-cell headlamp charging: The Headlamp Hybrid uses one cell, so charge balance is not a concern — but do not leave the lamp on the charger for days at a time. Trickle overcharge on a single Li-ion cell accelerates electrolyte breakdown faster than on multi-cell packs with active balancing.

Headlamp Hybrid dimming before the low-battery indicator triggers

The Silva Headlamp Hybrid's driver uses brownout protection to step down output before the cell hits the hard cutoff voltage. This means the light dims noticeably while the battery indicator still shows a charge remaining. The driver is protecting the cell from a sudden voltage collapse under load, which would be more damaging than a controlled step-down. Once you see output drop unprompted, the cell is close to 3.4–3.5V under load — time to recharge.

Headlamp running significantly shorter in turbo mode than in standard mode

Turbo mode on the Headlamp Hybrid draws far more current than standard or low modes — the cell is being discharged at a much higher C-rate. A 1100mAh cell at high current draw depletes the available capacity faster than the rated capacity suggests at lower draw rates. This is normal Li-ion behaviour, not a faulty cell. Switch to standard mode when sustained output matters more than peak brightness, and reserve turbo for short bursts when you need maximum throw.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Silva Headlamp Hybrid dims well before the battery indicator says it's low — is the battery failing or is that normal?

That's the driver's brownout protection stepping output down before the cell hits hard cutoff — not a failing battery. The driver senses voltage sag under load and reduces current draw to protect the cell from collapsing. It happens more noticeably as a cell ages and internal resistance rises, but a fresh cell will still do it near the end of charge. If it's happening early in a session on a new cell, check the charge — the cell should read 4.1–4.2V fully charged off the charger.

Why does my Headlamp Hybrid run out so fast in turbo mode compared to the standard setting?

Turbo mode pulls significantly more current from a 1100mAh cell than standard mode does — the discharge rate, not just the capacity, determines how long the cell lasts. At high C-rates, Li-ion cells deliver less usable capacity than at low draw rates. This is chemistry, not a defect. Use turbo in short bursts and drop back to standard mode for sustained use.

The Silva Headlamp Hybrid won't turn on after sitting unused for several months — how do I recover it?

A Li-ion cell left discharged for months can drop below the BMS re-initialisation threshold, causing the charger to show no charge activity. Put the headlamp on charge for 15–30 minutes regardless — many chargers will trickle a small current into a deeply discharged cell until voltage rises enough for the BMS to engage. If the charge indicator still shows nothing after 30 minutes, the cell has likely self-discharged below recovery voltage and needs replacing. A healthy cell in storage should not drop below 3.0V.
