Fits Simolio SM-823, SM-823D, SM-8245, SM-863D and six additional models; replaces OEM part SM-001BAT.
3.7V, 300mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 1.11Wh to sustain call and standby cycles on this DECT headset platform.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style plug with locking tab; insert straight into the battery bay until the tab seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell on a charged SM-823 base station; the BMS handshake completed on first insertion and the headset accepted the pack without error codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call—DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before the talk-time estimate is accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Simolio SM-823 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SM-001BAT)

This is a 3.7V, 300mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Simolio SM-823 wireless headset range. It fits the SM-823, SM-823D, SM-8245, SM-863D, and six additional models in the same family. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the headset dies sooner than expected.

  • SM-823 family fit: All listed models share the same voltage rail, physical cell dimensions (40.00 × 21.70 × 5.80mm), and BMS handshake protocol — that is why one part number covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the SM-823 base station and confirmed the BMS completed its handshake correctly. The headset registered as charging and the base station showed no error codes after the first full charge cycle.
  • First-charge protocol for DECT headsets: Seat the headset in the base station and let it complete one uninterrupted charge cycle before taking a call. The base needs to log the new cell before its talk-time counter reads accurately — skipping this step causes the indicator to under-report remaining charge.

Why the SM-823 cuts out mid-call on a new battery

The SM-823 draws current from two simultaneous loads — the audio driver and the DECT radio transmitter. Under combined draw, a cell sitting at storage voltage (typically around 3.6–3.7V, not fully charged) cannot sustain the instantaneous current spike. The BMS interprets this as a low-cell event and trips the cutoff. One full charge cycle from the base station before first use brings the cell to its actual rated capacity and prevents this trip.

Base station shows full charge but headset cuts off after a few seconds

This is a storage-voltage symptom, not a faulty cell. A new lithium-polymer cell ships at roughly 50% charge to stay within safe transport voltage limits. If the base station's charge indicator reads full before the cell has actually completed a cycle, the firmware has not recalibrated to the new cell's capacity. Place the headset back in the base, leave it for a complete uninterrupted charge, then test again. The cutoff threshold for this cell is 3.0V — anything above that after a full cycle means the cell is functioning correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SM-823 keeps dropping the call about halfway through — is that a battery problem or a signal problem?

That pattern almost always points to voltage sag, not signal. Under the combined draw of the audio driver and DECT radio, a partially charged or degraded cell dips below the BMS cutoff threshold mid-call and shuts the headset off. Swap in a fresh cell and complete one full charge cycle in the base station before making a call. If the headset stays connected after that, the original cell was the fault.

The base station isn't recognising the new battery — it's not showing a charging indicator at all.

The SM-823 base station needs the BMS in the new cell to complete a handshake before it starts the charge cycle. If the cell voltage is too low on arrival, the base can fail to initiate. Remove the headset, wait 30 seconds, reseat it firmly, and check that the contacts are clean and flush. If the charge indicator still does not appear, try a different power outlet — some base units drop the handshake when USB bus voltage is marginal.

Talk time seems noticeably shorter than it should be for the first week — is the battery faulty?

Not likely. Lithium-polymer cells deliver closer to rated capacity after three to five full charge-discharge cycles. On a 300mAh cell in a device this small, the difference between cycle one and cycle five is measurable. Run the headset from full charge to automatic cutoff, return it to the base for a full recharge, and repeat — talk time should increase steadily with each cycle and stabilise by cycle five.
