Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Simplehuman ST3007 / ST3011 / ST3024 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SH02)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 7800mAh (28.86Wh), built to replace the original SH02 battery in Simplehuman lighted cosmetic mirrors. It fits the ST3007, ST3011, and ST3024 models. The battery powers the LED lighting array and the touchless sensor activation circuit in all three mirrors.
- ST3007, ST3011, ST3024 compatibility: All three mirrors share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, SH02 connector pinout, and LED driver circuit. The BMS handshake is identical across the range, so one cell covers all three models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the ST3007's LED driver and sensor circuit. The BMS negotiated charge termination correctly at full capacity, and the constant-current LED driver held stable output from a full charge down to the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- First-charge LED calibration: After installing this cell, charge it fully before switching the mirror on. The LED driver measures cell voltage on first activation to set its constant-current baseline. A partial charge at first use can leave the driver under-calibrated, causing uneven light output across the LED ring that persists until a full charge cycle is completed.
Makeup mirror LEDs dimming before the battery indicator shows low
The ST3007's LED driver pulls constant current from the cell. As the cell ages and internal resistance rises, voltage sags under load even when the battery gauge still reads mid-range. The driver interprets that voltage drop as a brownout condition and steps down current to protect the LEDs. The result is visible dimming well before the low-battery indicator triggers. A fresh cell with low internal resistance eliminates the sag, and full brightness holds across the usable charge range.
Mirror not charging via USB after a battery swap
The ST3007 charging circuit requires a USB adapter that can sustain at least 5V at 1A continuously. A low-output adapter or a worn cable drops below the minimum input threshold mid-charge, causing the charge controller to reset and the charging LED to cut out. This looks like a faulty battery but the cell is not the cause. Test with a known-good 5V/1A or higher USB adapter — the charge indicator should light immediately and stay on.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ST3007 LEDs are noticeably dimmer on a full charge than they were when the mirror was new — is that a battery issue?
Yes. An aged cell develops higher internal resistance, which causes voltage to sag under the LED driver's constant-current draw even at a nominal state of charge. The driver reads that sag as low voltage and reduces current to the LED string, so brightness drops before the battery gauge reflects it. Fitting a fresh 7800mAh SH02 cell restores the low-resistance baseline and holds full brightness across the usable charge range.
The light on my ST3007 looks uneven — brighter on one side of the ring than the other — right after I installed the new battery. What's causing that?
This happens when the LED driver calibrates its constant-current output against a partially charged cell on first activation. The driver sets different current levels for segments of the LED ring based on the voltage it sees at startup, and a low starting voltage produces an uneven baseline. Charge the mirror fully to 4.2V before switching it on for the first time after a battery swap — the driver will re-calibrate against the correct full-charge voltage and even out the ring.
My ST3007's touchless sensor stopped responding after the battery swap, even though the LEDs work fine. What should I check?
The proximity sensor circuit runs on a separate voltage rail that the BMS manages independently from the LED driver rail. If the BMS did not complete its initialisation handshake — which happens when the battery is connected before charging — the sensor rail can remain inactive while LEDs still function. Connect the mirror to a 5V/1A USB adapter for a full charge cycle without interrupting the cable; the BMS re-initialises both rails at charge completion and sensor response should restore at 4.2V.
