Fits AMIRO AMLO1 and AMLO2 cosmetic mirrors, directly replaces OEM part INR18650-2.
7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell delivers steady voltage to the LED driver circuit throughout the charge cycle.
Dual-contact terminal connector slides into the battery slot with the positive tab facing the mirror housing.
We bench-tested the cell in an AMLO1 unit; the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes.
After installing, charge fully before first use—the LED driver calibrates its constant-current output against cell voltage on first use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AMIRO AML01 / AML02 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-2)

This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the AMIRO AML01 and AML02 LED cosmetic mirrors. It slots into the mirror's battery bay and powers the LED lighting system used for makeup application and grooming. Capacity figures come from the product data — 2600mAh / 19.24Wh.

  • AML01 and AML02 compatibility: Both mirrors run the same 7.4V two-cell Li-ion architecture and share the INR18650-2 cell format. The LED driver circuit and BMS handshake are identical across the two models, so one battery covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the AML01's LED driver under full-brightness load. The BMS held the output rail steady across the charge cycle and tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff without flickering the LED string.
  • First-charge calibration on install: After fitting this battery, charge it fully before switching the mirror on. The LED driver reads cell voltage on first use to calibrate its constant-current output. A partially charged cell at first use can cause uneven light intensity across the LED ring on that initial session.

Makeup mirror LEDs dimming before the battery indicator shows low

The AML01's LED driver runs a constant-current circuit, but that circuit has a minimum input voltage threshold. As the cell voltage sags under full-brightness draw, the driver starts reducing current to the LED string before the battery indicator triggers — so the light dims while the gauge still reads mid-charge. This is voltage sag under load, not a fault. Switching to a lower brightness mode reduces draw and stabilises the output rail. If dimming starts early in a session, the cell is likely worn and no longer holding its voltage curve under load.

Mirror not charging via USB after battery swap

The AML01 charging circuit requires a USB adapter that can sustain its minimum input voltage — a low-output or worn cable often drops below this threshold and the charge IC never activates. Swap to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A or higher and check the cable for damage. If the mirror still shows no charge activity, confirm the battery is seated fully and the connector is latched — a partial connection prevents the BMS from completing the charge circuit. A properly connected cell on a stable 5V supply should trigger the charge indicator within 30 seconds of plugging in.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AMIRO mirror LEDs look uneven — one side of the ring is brighter than the other. Is that the battery?

Yes, this is a known symptom when the cell voltage is uneven across the LED string at low or degraded charge. The constant-current driver loses regulation as voltage drops, and the LEDs furthest along the string see less current than those nearest the driver. Charge the mirror fully and test at full brightness — if the uneven output disappears at full charge but returns as the battery drains, the cell is no longer holding its voltage flat across discharge. Replace the battery and run the first-charge calibration cycle before use.

The mirror only stays at full brightness for a short time, then drops down even on a new charge. What's causing that?

Full-brightness mode is the highest current draw state the LED driver runs. If the cell can't sustain the required voltage under that load, the driver steps the current down to protect the circuit — this happens faster with a cell that has aged or has a high internal resistance. On a fresh INR18650-2 install, this drop should not occur until well into the discharge cycle. If it happens quickly after a full charge, check that the battery contacts are clean and the cell is seated flush — a poor contact raises effective resistance and mimics a worn cell. Test at 5V/1A from a wall adapter, not a PC USB port.

The charge light on my AMIRO mirror flashes but never goes solid — it's been on charge for hours. What does that mean?

A flashing charge indicator that never transitions to solid typically means the BMS is detecting a cell voltage outside its expected charge window. This can happen if the battery was left fully discharged for an extended period — the cell voltage drops below the BMS re-entry threshold and the charger can't initiate a normal charge cycle. Some units will recover if left on charge at low current for 15–20 minutes; the BMS on the AML01 uses a trickle pre-charge stage to bring deeply discharged cells back up to 3.0V per cell before switching to CC/CV. If the indicator never goes solid after 30 minutes on a known-good 5V/1A adapter, the cell is likely below recovery threshold — verify the battery connector is fully seated and retry.
