Fits Sonstige X Drive MP3 player, replaces OEM part number GS 533048.
7.4V at 800mAh delivers 5.92Wh capacity—enough runtime for extended listening sessions on a single charge.
Connector seats flush into the X Drive battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the cell itself.
We bench-tested this cell in the X Drive platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, insert the cell and leave the charger connected for 30 minutes before powering on—the X Drive enters deep-discharge protection after storage and needs a slow charge cycle to wake the device.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sonstige X Drive MP3 Player — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GS 533048)

This 7.4V, 800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Sonstige X Drive MP3 player. It slots in when the factory cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power the device. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly — no modifications needed.

  • X Drive platform fit: The X Drive runs a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack at a slim 5.62mm profile. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the BMS handshake completes without fault codes or charge refusal.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an X Drive unit. The BMS accepted the cell, reached full charge termination cleanly, and held resting voltage at 8.3V post-charge with no balancing errors flagged.
  • First charge after installation: If the player sat unused for months before the swap, plug it into the charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on. Media players running a depleted cell often enter deep-discharge protection, and the BMS needs slow trickle current to exit that state before normal charge current is accepted.

Battery percentage jumping after cell swap in the X Drive

After fitting a new cell, the X Drive's charge indicator can read 40%, then jump to 80%, then drop back — all within a few minutes. This happens because the device's voltage-threshold indicator was calibrated to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve. The new cell has a flatter mid-range voltage curve, which confuses the lookup table the player uses to estimate charge state. Run two or three full charge-to-discharge cycles and the indicator will settle against the new cell's actual curve.

Playback cutting out before the battery indicator reads empty

The X Drive's audio amplifier draws a sharp current spike at higher volume levels. At the tail end of a discharge cycle, cell voltage sags under that load and can briefly dip below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically 6.0V for a 7.4V two-cell pack. The BMS shuts the output to protect the cells, even though the resting voltage would read higher a moment later. If this is happening, reduce playback volume and confirm resting voltage is above 6.8V before starting a session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My X Drive won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for six months — is the battery dead?

Not necessarily dead, but almost certainly in deep-discharge protection. When a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS locks output to prevent damage. Connect the charger and leave it for 30 minutes without pressing the power button — the BMS needs trickle current to recover before it allows normal operation. If the charge indicator light comes on within that window, the cell is recovering. If nothing happens after an hour on charge, the original cell has failed and needs replacing.

The battery percentage on my X Drive jumps around erratically after I fitted the new cell — what's going on?

The X Drive estimates charge state by mapping cell voltage against a table built from the old cell's discharge curve. A fresh 800mAh cell has a different voltage profile, so the indicator misreads the state of charge and jumps. This is a calibration issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles and the indicator will track correctly against the new cell's curve.

Playback on my X Drive cuts out randomly but the battery still shows charge remaining — why?

The audio amplifier pulls a spike of current at higher volumes, which causes voltage sag on a cell that's past 70% discharged. That momentary sag can trip the BMS cutoff at around 6.0V, even though resting voltage would recover immediately after. The player shuts down to protect the cells, not because they're empty. Lower the volume level and check that resting voltage is above 6.8V — if the cutouts only happen at high volume near the end of a session, this is the cause.
