Fits Sony Ericsson Xperia XZ and F8331/F8332 variants, replaces LIS1632ERPC battery pack.
3.8V 2850mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge cycles to the XZ after the original pack loses capacity through normal aging.
Connector seats flush into the battery bay slot; locking tab clips down on the right side when inserted correctly into the device.
We bench-tested this cell in the XZ and confirmed the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS on power-up without voltage errors.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled — this recalibrates the coulomb counter against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Ericsson Xperia XZ — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LIS1632ERPC)

This 3.8V, 2850mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original LIS1632ERPC battery in the Sony Ericsson Xperia XZ and Xperia XZ Dual SIM (F8331, F8332). It fits directly into the existing battery bay and connects to the same flex cable and fuel gauge IC. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • Xperia XZ and XZ Dual SIM fit: Both the single-SIM F8331 and dual-SIM F8332 share the same battery compartment geometry, flex connector pin-out, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and load cycles on the Xperia XZ platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the device charge IC, and the coulomb counter accepted the new cell curve without throwing fault flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable Qnovo adaptive charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling fast charging. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xperia XZ after a cell swap

The Xperia XZ fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage behaviour. Under modem or display load, the phone sees a voltage reading that triggers low-battery shutdown even though capacity remains. One full discharge-to-empty and charge-to-full cycle rewrites the coulomb counter baseline and stops the early cutoff.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

The Xperia XZ charge IC runs a BMS handshake at the start of each charge session. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS may report an unverified state-of-charge, causing the charge IC to default to a lower 500mA trickle rate rather than engaging Qualcomm Quick Charge. This is not a fault — it clears after the first complete charge cycle. Charge the device to 100% from a QC-capable adapter, then unplug and replug to confirm fast charging activates at roughly 9V input.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xperia XZ keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Xperia XZ calibrated its shutdown threshold against your old, degraded cell, and that stored curve now triggers a premature voltage cutoff under screen or modem load. Run one full discharge — let the phone reach 0% and shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle rewrites the coulomb counter baseline and stops the early shutdown.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what happened?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered a lockout state to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall adapter — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will push a recovery trickle current into the cell; once voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, the phone will boot normally.

The battery percentage keeps jumping around erratically — it'll show 60%, then skip to 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.

Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The old calibration data stored in NVRAM no longer matches the fresh cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship, so the coulomb counter produces inconsistent readings. Complete two full discharge-and-charge cycles — both times letting the phone shut off at 0% and charge to 100% without interruption. After the second cycle, percentage reporting stabilises as the IC locks onto the new curve.
