Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Z4 / Z3+ — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LIS1579ERPC)
This 3.8V, 2900mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original LIS1579ERPC cell in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Z4, Xperia Z3+, and Xperia Z3 Plus. It also fits the E6533 and over a dozen additional variants sharing the same battery bay and connector. Use it when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.
- Xperia Z4 and Z3+ platform fit: Sony Ericsson used the same 3.8V rail, battery connector, and BMS handshake across the Z4, Z3+, and Z3 Plus lines. All three models share the LIS1579ERPC footprint, so one replacement cell covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Z4 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes. Charge acceptance was normal from the first cycle, and the phone completed a full charge-discharge loop without thermal events or cutoffs.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xperia Z4 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different voltage-to-capacity profile, so the phone reads 20–30% when the cell is actually near its low-voltage cutoff. Under screen or modem load, voltage drops sharply and the system shuts down to protect the cell. Run one full discharge to below 5% and a full charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the coulomb counter and aligns the gauge to the new cell curve.
Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal risk. The phone will show nothing on screen when plugged in. Connect to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the BMS detects voltage recovery above its threshold, charging resumes normally and the phone will boot.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Xperia Z4 showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell?
The fuel gauge IC in the Z3+/Z4 platform uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. After a cell swap, that calibration no longer matches the new cell, so the percentage readout drifts — often reading high and then dropping suddenly. Run one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without removing the charger. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and percentage reporting stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my Z4 the day after I fitted the replacement battery — what's wrong?
On the first charge cycle with a new cell, the BMS can reject the USB-PD or Sony proprietary fast-charge handshake because the cell impedance signature doesn't yet match the expected profile. This usually resolves itself after one standard charge cycle at normal speed. If fast charging still doesn't trigger after that, check the charger output — the Z4 requires a charger that outputs the correct voltage negotiation, typically 5V/2A minimum. Swap to the original Sony charger or a USB-PD certified adapter and retry.
My Xperia Z4 feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges with the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell generates slightly more heat during initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell. The charge IC on the Z4 runs at full current into the new cell until the BMS reports near-full capacity, which produces more heat than you'd see with a worn cell that accepts less current. This reduces after two or three full cycles as the cell's internal impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the back panel flexes, stop charging and check that the cell is seated flat with no gap between the cell and the chassis.
