Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Mylo COM-1 / My Line Online — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (COMA-BP1)
This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell replaces the COMA-BP1 battery in Sony's Mylo COM-1, Mylo COM-1/B, and My Line Online devices. These are compact handheld communicators — not traditional cameras — that use a slim Li-ion pack to power the display, wireless radio, and audio hardware. Voltage and form factor match the OEM specification at 53.20 × 35.30 × 7.10mm.
- Mylo COM-1 and COM-1/B platform fit: Both Mylo variants share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The COMA-BP1 designation covers the full COM-1 series, so one cell works across both colour variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the COM-1 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, negotiated correctly with the device, and reported charge state without triggering a fault condition.
- Mylo wireless radio draw: The COM-1's Wi-Fi and VoIP stack pulls significantly more current than the display alone. Keep wireless off when the device is idle — sustained radio-on sessions accelerate cell cycling faster than any other use pattern on this platform.
Why the Mylo COM-1 rejects a new cell on first boot
The COM-1 BMS performs a handshake check when a new cell is inserted. If the cell voltage sits below approximately 3.4V from storage, the device may display a low-battery warning or refuse to boot entirely. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is the BMS protecting against an under-voltage start. Connect the device to its OEM charger or USB source and allow a full charge cycle before attempting to power on. After one complete charge, the BMS recalibrates and accepts the new cell without further prompting.
Battery percentage jumping or resetting to zero mid-session
The COM-1's fuel gauge maps voltage thresholds against the original OEM cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different discharge profile can cause the indicator to jump — dropping from 40% to 0% without warning, or resetting after a reboot. The fix is a full calibration cycle: charge to 100%, use the device until it shuts off on its own, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After one full cycle, the BMS remaps its thresholds to the new cell's curve and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Mylo COM-1 shows no battery or won't power on after I put the new cell in — is the battery dead?
Almost certainly not. The COM-1 BMS will block startup if the replacement cell arrived below 3.4V from storage — which is normal for shipped Li-ion cells. Plug into the OEM charger and let it charge fully before pressing power. One complete charge cycle is all it takes for the BMS to accept the new cell and allow a normal boot.
The battery percentage on my Mylo drops suddenly from 50% to zero and the device shuts off — what's happening?
The COM-1's fuel gauge is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a different curve causes the indicator to lose its reference point mid-discharge and snap to zero. Run one deliberate calibration cycle — charge fully, drain until the device shuts itself off, then charge back to 100% uninterrupted. After that cycle the gauge remaps to the new cell and erratic drops stop.
My Mylo COM-1 runs out of charge much faster when I'm on Wi-Fi calls than I expected — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong. The COM-1's VoIP and Wi-Fi radio stack draws several times more current than standby or audio playback alone. The 1050mAh capacity is correct per the COMA-BP1 specification, but sustained wireless call sessions hit the cell hard. Turn Wi-Fi off between calls or when the device is idle to reduce cycling load and preserve charge across a session.
