This is a 4.8V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Stabo ST930 cordless phone handset. It slots directly into the handset battery compartment and restores power to the phone system. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original pack specification.

Ni-MH batteries lose voltage during storage. If the resting voltage drops low enough, the ST930 base station's charge controller may not recognise the pack as a valid battery and will flag a fault or show no charge indicator. This is not a defective battery — it is a voltage threshold issue. Place the handset in the base and leave it for up to 30 minutes; most base stations will begin a trickle charge once the pack voltage climbs above the acceptance threshold, typically around 4.0V. If the error clears and charging begins, continue the full 16-hour initial charge.

The ST930 handset transmit power is directly tied to battery voltage. When a Ni-MH pack is underformed or partially discharged, voltage sags under the RF load of active transmission, and the handset steps down transmit power to compensate. The result is shorter effective range that looks like a hardware fault but is not. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles to condition the cells — voltage sag under RF load reduces significantly once the cells reach rated capacity.
