Fits Stiga Autoclip 125, Autoclip 127, Autoclip 140, and related models with OEM part number 110Z03700A.
25.9V 7800mAh lithium-ion delivers sustained power for the blade motor and autonomous navigation system across residential lawn sizes.
Connector seats vertically into the mower's top-mounted charging slot with a positive-first alignment; locking tab clicks down to secure the pack.
We bench-tested the BMS at full throttle under simulated thick-grass load; cutoff held steady at 24.5V with no premature thermal trip.
Before first spring use, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temperature is below 10°C — cold cells trigger higher motor inrush current and can trip the BMS during initial blade engagement.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stiga Autoclip 125 / 140 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (110Z03700A)

This is a 25.9V 7800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Stiga Autoclip robotic mower range, including the Autoclip 125, 127, 140, and 140 4WD. It matches the OEM part number 110Z03700A (Typ B) and fits directly into the battery bay on compatible Autoclip models. Voltage and BMS communication protocols match the original Stiga specification.

  • Autoclip platform compatibility: The Autoclip 125 through 140 4WD series shares the same 25.9V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell pack covers the full model range listed above without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a Stiga Autoclip unit. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination, cell balancing, and blade-motor inrush current without tripping protection on a clean lawn surface.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the cells warm up.

BMS cutoff on thick grass and wet-lawn blade load

The Autoclip's blade motor draws significantly more current through dense or wet grass than on a dry, short lawn. If the pack's BMS detects a current spike above its protection threshold — typically caused by the motor stalling briefly against a heavy load — it cuts output to protect the cells. This is a protection event, not a fault with the battery. Reduce the mowing zone size or raise the cutting height to lower blade load, and the BMS will stop tripping.

Charger rejecting the pack after winter storage

Li-ion cells left in storage over winter will self-discharge slowly. If the pack voltage drops below approximately 20V, most Stiga chargers will refuse to initiate a charge cycle — the charger shows a fault LED and does nothing. To recover the pack, use a compatible charger with a recovery or trickle mode to bring cell voltage back above the acceptance threshold. Once the pack reaches around 22V, the charger will recognise it and begin a normal charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Stiga Autoclip stops mid-row, pauses, then carries on by itself — what's causing that?

That's thermal protection activating in the BMS. The blade motor generates heat during a long mowing session, and the pack cuts output temporarily when internal temperature hits the protection limit. It's not a fault — the mower resumes once the pack cools down. Let it sit for five minutes in a shaded spot before resuming, and consider splitting large lawns into two shorter sessions.

The Autoclip cuts noticeably less area on the first cold morning of spring compared to last autumn — is the battery failing?

No — this is normal Li-ion behaviour below 10°C. Cold cells have higher internal resistance, which reduces usable capacity until the pack warms up through use. Store the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning mow and install it just before starting. Once the cells reach operating temperature, output returns to normal and coverage improves.

This new battery feels warmer than the original pack did after a full mowing cycle — should I be concerned?

Slightly elevated surface temperature over the first few cycles is normal for a new pack. Fresh cells go through a conditioning phase where internal resistance settles, and that can generate marginally more heat than a worn-in pack. Run five full charge-discharge cycles and the temperature should stabilise. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after cycle five, check that the battery bay vents on the mower body are clear of grass clippings.
