Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiper Gioia XP / Runner Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (110Z03700A)
This 25.9V, 7800mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part 110Z03700A in Wiper cordless lawn mowers. It fits the Gioia XP, One Xh, Runner A1, Runner X, and 21 additional models that share the same voltage rail and connector format. Voltage and capacity match the original pack exactly.
- Gioia XP and Runner platform compatibility: These models share the same 25.9V (7S Li-ion) architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping packs across the range works because the charge management logic is identical across the platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated high-draw discharge events simulating blade motor inrush. The BMS held stable under load and recovered cleanly after each thermal event without requiring a manual reset.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to room temperature.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load
The blade motor draws significantly more current through dense or wet grass than through dry, short turf. If that inrush current exceeds the BMS protection threshold — even briefly — the pack shuts off to prevent cell damage. This is not a battery fault; it is the protection circuit doing exactly what it should. Slow your cutting pace through thick sections and let the mower drive the blade at steady load rather than forcing it through in a single pass.
Charger shows a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months. A pack left uncharged from autumn through spring can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 20V on a 25.9V system — causing the charger to flag a fault rather than begin a charge cycle. Some Wiper chargers include a recovery or "wake" mode; press and hold the charge button for five seconds to initiate it. If the charger has no recovery mode, connect it briefly, disconnect, and reconnect — this can prompt the charger to retry the acceptance check once cell voltage has slightly recovered from surface charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiper mower cuts out halfway through a row then starts again after a minute — what's causing that?
This is thermal protection triggering in the BMS when the blade motor sustains a high-current draw for too long — common in thick or slightly damp grass. The pack shuts the output, cools for roughly five minutes, then allows restart. Let the mower sit on a flat surface with the blade stopped for a full five minutes before resuming. Cutting in overlapping narrow passes rather than full-width rows reduces sustained current draw and prevents repeat trips.
The new battery feels noticeably warmer than the old one after a full cut — is something wrong?
New cells run warmer than aged ones during the first several charge-discharge cycles because fresh electrodes are conditioning to their working chemistry. This is normal for the first four to five cycles and settles down once the cells have been worked through full charge and discharge a few times. Check that the battery vents on the mower deck are clear of grass clippings, as blocked airflow amplifies heat buildup. If the pack is still running uncomfortably hot after six cycles, check that the charger voltage matches 25.9V exactly.
The mower feels sluggish and the blade slows down on the first cut of a cold morning even though the battery shows charged — why?
Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because cold temperatures increase internal resistance, which drops the voltage under load before the cells are actually depleted. The blade motor sees a weaker voltage supply and runs slower as a result. Store the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning cut and fit it to the mower just before use. A pack at room temperature on a 5°C morning will deliver noticeably stronger blade performance than one left in the garden shed overnight.
