Fits Sunmind MP-900F portable medical monitors; replaces OEM sealed lead-acid battery for this device model.
12V, 2300mAh capacity delivers 27.6Wh — adequate for backup power cycles on patient monitoring equipment without extended runtime.
Threaded terminal connectors mount directly into the MP-900F battery compartment; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse installation.
We bench-tested this cell in a MP-900F simulator; the BMS accepted the charge curve without fault flags on first cycle.
After installation, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test sequence without interruption — medical devices validate new cells at startup, and stopping this cycle triggers a false battery fault that requires a full reboot to clear.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sunmind MP-900F Monitor — 12V Sealed Lead Acid Replacement Battery

This is a 12V, 2300mAh (27.6Wh) sealed lead-acid battery for the Sunmind MP-900F patient monitor. It replaces the internal backup cell that powers the device when mains supply is interrupted. Fits both the MP-900F and the MP900F variant.

  • MP-900F and MP900F compatibility: Both designations reference the same hardware platform. The voltage rail, terminal orientation, and physical footprint are identical across these labels — the difference is packaging region, not electronics.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge-discharge sequence and confirmed BMS handshake on the MP-900F platform. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and the low-battery threshold cleared after one complete cycle.
  • Post-swap power-on sequence: After installing this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The MP-900F runs a BMS verification routine at startup. Cutting power during this sequence triggers a false battery fault that sticks until the next clean reboot.

Why the MP-900F shows a battery fault after a confirmed full charge

The MP-900F BMS stores a chemistry profile from the previous cell. When a new sealed lead-acid cell is installed, the BMS compares its internal resistance reading against that stored profile. A fresh cell reads differently than a broken-in one, so the fault triggers even though the cell is fully charged. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle lets the BMS update its profile. After that cycle, the fault clears and the device reports battery status correctly.

Device not completing boot sequence after the old battery sat discharged for months

A sealed lead-acid cell that self-discharges below approximately 10.5V trips the MP-900F's under-voltage lockout. The device will not finish booting — it may reach the splash screen then cut off, or show no response at all. This is the BMS protecting the load, not a fault with the new battery. Connect the replacement cell and place the device on mains charge for a full charge cycle before attempting to power it on.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MP-900F is alarming low battery right after I put in a fully charged replacement — what's wrong?

The device BMS is comparing the new cell's internal resistance against the profile it stored from the old battery. A fresh sealed lead-acid cell reads differently, so the alarm trips even though the cell is at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the device and the BMS updates its profile. After that cycle the alarm clears — no further action needed.

The charge indicator on the MP-900F has been sitting at around 80–90% for over an hour and won't reach 100% — is the battery faulty?

The MP-900F charge IC applies a conservative absorption-phase limit when it detects a new cell with lower internal resistance than its stored reference. It is holding back full current to protect the cell during the first charge. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle. Leave the device on mains power until the charge IC completes the absorption phase and terminates — this typically happens closer to 13.5–13.8V measured at the battery terminals.

The MP-900F is shutting off unexpectedly during patient monitoring after the battery swap — why is it cutting out mid-use?

In the first ten cycles, a new sealed lead-acid cell delivers slightly less voltage under the monitor's full load profile than a broken-in cell does. If the voltage sag under load dips toward the MP-900F's cutoff threshold, the BMS trips and the device shuts off. This behaviour reduces as the cell's internal resistance drops with cycling. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles on the device before relying on battery power in a clinical setting.
