Fits Swyx D210 and D215 cordless handsets; replaces OEM battery CS-ERT390CL for full wireless operation.
3.7V lithium-ion at 650mAh delivers the energy density this DECT phone needs for talk and standby cycles.
Connector slides straight into the handset battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a D210 base charger — BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault cycles.
After installing the battery, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge; lithium-ion in cordless phones needs slow initial charge to stabilize the BMS voltage floor that DECT pairing requires.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Swyx D210 / D215 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Swyx D210 and D215 cordless DECT handsets. It slots into the handset battery compartment and restores wireless operation away from the base station. Voltage and cell dimensions match the original: 47.00 × 34.00 × 4.60mm.

  • D210 and D215 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V supply rail. The connector orientation and BMS communication protocol are identical across the two models, so one cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the D210 base station. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First-charge protocol on DECT handsets: After fitting this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. Li-ion cells shipped at partial state-of-charge need a complete slow charge to reach rated capacity — pulling the handset early on the first cycle leaves usable charge on the table.

Talk time shorter than expected after a new battery fits cleanly

A Li-ion cell that has sat in storage can have elevated internal resistance even when new. That resistance causes the BMS to read voltage as lower than actual cell state under the RF transmit load, triggering a premature cutoff. Running two or three full charge-discharge cycles through the base station brings internal resistance down to normal operating levels. After three cycles, measured talk time should stabilise at rated capacity.

Base station shows no charge light after fitting a new cell

Storage discharge can drop a new Li-ion cell below the minimum acceptance voltage the D210 base station expects before initiating a charge cycle. The base reads the cell as absent or faulty and shows no indicator. Connect the handset to the base and wait up to 20 minutes — the charger circuit will trickle-charge the cell until it crosses the acceptance threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the normal charge indicator activates.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Swyx D210 won't pair with the base after I replaced the battery — how do I fix this?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which clears the pairing memory on some DECT phones. Re-register the handset through the base station menu: hold the registration button on the base unit for three seconds, then follow the pairing sequence in the D210 handset settings. The handset should reappear on the base within 60 seconds.

The D210 battery drains overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This is a seating issue, not a cell fault. The charging contacts on the D210 base need firm, flush contact with the handset to pass charge current. If the handset is tilted or only partially seated, the base shows a charge indicator but delivers little or no current — the handset runs on battery the whole time. Remove the handset, check the contacts on both the base and handset for debris, then reseat it until it clicks into position.

The handset loses signal range after the battery swap — was it something I did during installation?

Range drops when the cell voltage sags under the RF transmit load. A new cell at partial state of charge has higher internal resistance, so voltage dips further during each radio burst than a fully charged cell would. Complete the 16-hour first charge on the base station, then test range again. If sag continues after three full cycles, measure resting voltage with a multimeter — it should read between 4.1V and 4.2V after a full charge.
