Fits Szosen OIP-900 portable medical device, replaces OEM part number JHOTA-990-00.
11.1V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full power for diagnostic and therapeutic operations.
Connector type and orientation match OIP-900 slot; verify locking tab engages before clinical use.
We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the BMS; no cutoff faults or voltage sag detected.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption—medical equipment runs BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false battery fault persisting until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Szosen OIP-900 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (JHOTA-990-00)

This is an 11.1V 2600mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Szosen OIP-900 portable medical instrument. It replaces part number JHOTA-990-00 when the original cell degrades or fails. The OIP-900 is a compact clinical device, and this battery restores its portable operation without replacing the full unit.

  • OIP-900 platform fit: The JHOTA-990-00 uses an 11.1V three-cell configuration matched to the OIP-900's power rail and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is specific to this voltage profile — substituting a mismatched cell count triggers a protection fault at startup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran a full charge-discharge cycle on this cell and confirmed the BMS communicated correctly with the charge IC. Capacity measured at rated spec and protection thresholds tripped at expected voltage limits.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting this battery, allow the OIP-900 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs BMS verification at boot — cutting power mid-sequence registers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The OIP-900 runs a BMS learn sequence on first boot with a new cell. If the battery voltage has dipped during storage, the device may stall mid-boot or display a battery error before the self-test completes. Charge the replacement fully before the first power-on — the charge IC applies a conservative limit on new cells, so the first charge may stop short of 100% on the indicator. A second full charge cycle typically resolves this and allows the boot sequence to complete normally.

Low battery alarm triggering on a freshly charged replacement

This happens because the OIP-900's BMS alarm threshold is calibrated against a characterised cell — a new replacement hasn't completed a learn cycle yet. The device treats an uncharacterised cell as suspect and fires the low-battery alarm even after a confirmed full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use. After that cycle, the BMS accepts the cell's capacity curve and the alarm clears at the correct threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

The OIP-900 shuts off unexpectedly during use — is the new battery faulty?

Almost certainly not faulty — new cells are stressed harder in the first 10 cycles as the BMS learns the load profile. The OIP-900's clinical load draws can trigger the protection circuit on an uncharacterised cell before the BMS has mapped its discharge curve. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles outside clinical use first. After conditioning, the shutoff threshold stabilises and mid-use cutoffs stop.

The replacement battery sat in its packaging for several months before I installed it — now the OIP-900 won't power on at all.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below the BMS recovery threshold (typically around 2.5V per cell, or roughly 7.5V pack voltage), the protection circuit locks out and the device sees no power. Place the battery on charge immediately without attempting to power on the device. Most charge ICs will apply a trickle pre-charge to recover a deeply discharged cell — leave it on charge for at least two hours before the first power-on attempt.

The charge indicator on the OIP-900 won't reach 100% on the first charge of this replacement battery.

The charge IC applies a conservative current limit on a new, uncharacterised cell during its first charge — this is normal behaviour, not a fault. The indicator reads the charge IC's state estimate, which under-reports on a cell it hasn't profiled yet. Complete the first charge fully, run the device through one discharge cycle, then charge again. The second charge will profile the cell correctly and the indicator will reach 100%.
