Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Technika SH-Z735 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WGL-0101)
This 3.7V 850mAh (3.15Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the WGL-0101 battery in the Technika SH-Z735 compact digital camera. It matches the original cell's voltage, capacity, and physical footprint — 40.20 x 35.30 x 6.10mm — so it seats correctly in the battery compartment without modification. Voltage and polarity align with the SH-Z735's power rails.
- SH-Z735 fit: The SH-Z735 uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement shares the same connector orientation and cell dimensions as the OEM WGL-0101, so the BMS in the camera body reads it on the same voltage thresholds it already expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under a load profile that replicates shutter actuation, LCD draw, and flash capacitor recharge. The BMS accepted the cell and stepped down correctly at low-voltage cutoff without tripping a hard fault.
- First charge cycle on the SH-Z735: Run the first full charge inside the camera body using the OEM charger or USB charge port if fitted — some compact camera BMS systems only begin accurate battery-remaining calibration after one complete in-body charge cycle from near-empty to full.
Why the SH-Z735 shows a dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The SH-Z735 maps its battery-remaining display against the discharge curve of the original OEM cell. A new replacement cell may have a slightly different mid-range voltage profile, causing the indicator to read lower than the actual state of charge. This resolves after one or two full discharge and charge cycles, once the camera's threshold mapping aligns to the new cell's curve. If the indicator still reads erratically after two cycles, charge the cell to full inside the camera body — target a resting voltage of 4.2V before starting a shoot.
Flash not fully recycling between shots on the SH-Z735
The SH-Z735's flash capacitor pulls a short high-current burst from the battery each time it recharges between shots. As a cell ages or sits deep-discharged, internal resistance rises and the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge voltage. On a replacement cell that arrived partially discharged, this can show up immediately as a slow recycle or a flash that fires at reduced output. Charge the replacement cell to full — 4.2V resting — before your first shoot, and the recycle time should return to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SH-Z735 shows "no battery" or won't power on after I installed the replacement — what's happening?
Some compact camera BMS systems run an authentication check on first install and reject an unrecognised cell until it has been charged from within the camera body at least once. Remove the battery, reinsert it, then connect the camera to its charger and let it run a full charge cycle before attempting to power on. That single charge cycle is usually enough for the BMS to accept the new cell. After charging, the resting voltage on the cell should read 4.2V.
The battery percentage on the SH-Z735 jumps around — it reads 80%, then suddenly drops to 20% mid-shoot.
The camera's fuel gauge maps battery percentage to voltage checkpoints calibrated for the original OEM cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different curve hits those voltage checkpoints at different points in its actual charge state, causing the display to jump. Run two full discharge-to-empty and charge-to-full cycles in the camera body and the indicator will track more accurately. If the jumps persist past two cycles, the cell's resting voltage at full charge should still measure 4.2V — if it doesn't, the cell itself is the issue.
My shot count is noticeably lower than what the original battery used to deliver — is the replacement cell faulty?
Shot count is not a fixed spec — it varies with how much flash, continuous autofocus, optical stabilisation, and LCD-on time the camera uses per session. All of those draws compound beyond what a simple capacity comparison predicts. A 850mAh cell at 3.7V holds 3.15Wh, and that figure is the actual ceiling — if you shoot with flash firing every frame and continuous AF active, draw per shot rises significantly compared to single-shot stills with flash off. To verify the cell is performing correctly, discharge it fully in normal use and check that the camera only shuts down at or near the BMS low-voltage cutoff, not prematurely mid-charge.
