Terrans Force T57 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Terrans Force T57 notebook. It replaces the original cell when the existing pack no longer holds enough charge to support portable use. Fits the T57 chassis directly — no modification needed.

  • T57 platform fit: The T57 uses a standard 10.8V three-cell Li-ion configuration. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the BMS handshake completes correctly on boot without triggering an unknown-device error.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a T57 unit. The BMS balanced all cells within normal spread, and the pack reported correct voltage at each state-of-charge threshold without cutoff errors.
  • First-cycle calibration on the T57: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Why the T57 BIOS reports poor battery health after a cell swap

The T57 BIOS stores battery health data from the previous pack in its EEPROM register. When a new cell goes in, the firmware compares live readings against that stale data and flags a mismatch as poor health. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running a full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete charge-to-100% forces the BIOS learn cycle to overwrite the old register values with data from the new pack. After one or two calibration cycles, the health indicator returns to normal.

T57 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on the fuel gauge

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The gauge underestimates remaining capacity and trips a shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. It is also possible the cell voltage drops steeply under combined CPU and display load — a voltage cliff the old EEPROM data did not account for. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles to let the fuel gauge IC map the new cell accurately. After calibration, shutdowns at false-low percentages stop. Confirm the pack is reporting above 10.4V at the point the shutdown previously triggered.

The T57 BIOS is showing "0%" or "unknown" on the new battery — is the cell faulty?

This is an EEPROM mismatch, not a faulty cell. The BIOS still holds capacity and health data from the old pack and cannot yet read the new one accurately. Run a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle rewrites the register and the BIOS reads the new cell correctly on the next boot.

The fuel gauge on my T57 jumps around wildly for the first few charges — why?

The fuel gauge IC calibrates itself by mapping voltage readings against actual capacity over discharge cycles. On a new cell, it has no reference data yet, so percentage readings are inaccurate until it builds that map. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles without interruption. By the third cycle the gauge stabilises and tracks the real state of charge correctly.

System info on the T57 is showing a lower Wh rating than the battery specs — is something wrong?

The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from the EEPROM data the firmware loaded at first recognition, which may reflect the old pack's rated chemistry rather than the actual new cell. This is a firmware reporting difference, not a capacity loss. The cell itself holds the full 47.52Wh. Confirm actual performance by running a calibration discharge — if the laptop sustains load well past where the old pack failed, the cell capacity is correct.
