Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shinelon GE5S02 / T50 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GE5SN-00-01-3S2P-1)
This 10.8V, 4400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in Shinelon GE5S02, GE5S01, T50-581S1N, and T50-781S1N laptops. It fits machines using OEM part numbers GE5SN-00-01-3S2P-1, GE5SN-03-12-3S2P-1, and GI5KN-00-10-331P-0. Capacity is 47.52Wh across a 3S2P cell configuration.
- GE5S02 and T50 series compatibility: These models share the same 10.8V voltage rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell swap covers the full group without connector or firmware conflicts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full-load discharge, and BMS cutoff on a T50-series unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, reported charge state accurately, and held stable voltage under sustained CPU and display load.
- Post-install calibration on GE5S02: After fitting the new cell, run one full discharge to the hibernate cutoff point, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after swap on GE5S02
The BIOS on GE5S02 reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the original factory cell. When a new cell goes in, those registers contain stale data that does not match the new chemistry, so the system flags poor health even though the cell is fresh. This is not a fault with the replacement. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the fuel gauge IC to rewrite its learned capacity values. After two or three complete cycles, the BIOS health indicator typically clears and reports normal.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The laptop's power manager sees a voltage reading it maps to 20–30%, but the cell hits its low-voltage cliff earlier than the old EEPROM data predicted, triggering an emergency shutdown. The fix is a controlled full discharge — let the laptop run on battery until it hibernates on its own, then charge fully without interruption. After two calibration cycles, the gauge aligns to the new cell and the shutdowns stop. Confirm the resting voltage after a full charge reads at or above 12.4V before running the second cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Windows show 0% or "plugged in, not charging" right after I put the new battery in?
The fuel gauge IC inside the laptop still has capacity data mapped to the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage profile doesn't match those stored values, the OS reads the state of charge as zero or loses the charge signal entirely. Plug in the AC adapter, leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge cycle, then discharge to hibernate cutoff. After one complete cycle the gauge IC re-learns the curve and the reading stabilises.
System info shows a different Wh rating than the 47.52Wh listed — is the cell underspec?
No. The Wh value shown in Windows or the BIOS is pulled from the EEPROM data written by the original factory cell, not measured live from the new one. Until the fuel gauge IC runs at least one full calibration cycle, it reports the old cell's rated Wh rather than the installed cell's actual capacity. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge. The reported Wh figure should update to match the new cell within one to two cycles.
The charge stopped at 80% and won't go higher — is the battery faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many laptops in this series ship with a battery conservation mode enabled that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the power management settings in the BIOS or the manufacturer's control panel utility and disable the charge limit. Once the cap is off, plug in and allow a full uninterrupted charge — the cell should reach the expected 12.6V at termination.
