Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tineco iFloor S5 FW160100CN — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CL2019-6S1P-02A)
This is a 21.6V 4000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Tineco iFloor S5 FW160100CN cordless wet-dry floor cleaner. It matches the OEM part number CL2019-6S1P-02A and fits the FW160100CN variant specifically. Capacity is rated at 86.4Wh, matching the original pack specification.
- iFloor S5 FW160100CN fit: The FW160100CN uses a 6S1P cell configuration running a 21.6V nominal rail. The BMS in this vacuum communicates with the charger to confirm pack identity — a mismatched BMS handshake will cause the charger LED to reject the pack outright, so cell count and communication protocol both matter here.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on the iFloor S5 platform and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the OEM charger. Suction motor start-up draw did not trigger an overcurrent cutoff, and the charge indicator cycled through all four LEDs as expected.
- Dock charging habit on the iFloor S5: The iFloor S5 is frequently left on its wall dock between uses. The charger does not cut trickle current once the pack is full — leaving it docked continuously accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next cleaning session.
Suction dropping well before the battery indicator reaches low
The iFloor S5 runs both a suction motor and a brush roller from the same 21.6V pack. When the dirty-water filter or the pre-motor filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to maintain airflow and draws above its rated current. The BMS interprets the elevated draw as voltage sag and begins throttling power before the fuel gauge registers low. Cleaning both filters before each session keeps motor draw within the pack's rated output range and prevents premature power reduction.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or sustained use on thick wet debris — current spikes past the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack disconnects the motor circuit. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why the vacuum restarts after a brief pause. Clear the brush roll and check the self-cleaning filter for saturation before the next run; if the filter is wet, the restriction is immediate and the trip will repeat.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tineco iFloor S5 suction feels weak even though the battery shows full — is the new battery the problem?
A full charge reading with weak suction almost always points to the filters, not the pack. The iFloor S5's pre-motor and dirty-water filters restrict airflow when partially blocked, forcing the motor to draw higher current — the BMS then throttles output to stay within safe limits even at full charge. Remove and rinse both filters, then dry them fully before reinstalling. If suction returns to normal after that, the battery was never the issue.
My iFloor S5 kept cutting out and restarting on its own during cleaning — what causes that?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip cycling on and off. The S5's brush roller and suction motor pull from the same pack simultaneously, and any blockage — tangled hair in the brush roll, a saturated self-cleaning filter, or thick wet debris — spikes the combined draw past the BMS cutoff. The pack disconnects, cools for a second, then reconnects. Stop, clear the brush roll, check filter saturation, and restart. If it trips again immediately, the filter needs a full dry cycle before the next use.
I replaced the battery but my iFloor S5's replacement pack seems to be fading after just a few weeks — what went wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on the iFloor S5. The OEM charger does not cut off trickle current once the pack is full, so a pack left on the dock daily receives low-level charge current around the clock — Li-ion cells degrade faster when held at 100% under trickle charge. Charge the new pack fully, then pull the vacuum off the dock and store it unplugged until the next clean. Repeated full-charge-then-remove cycles will preserve cell capacity significantly longer than permanent docking.
