Fits Tiptel Ergophone 6010, 6011, 6020, 6021 and compatible models; replaces OEM battery CS-PTU110SL.
3.7V at 1200mAh capacity sustains calling, messaging, and standby for this entry-level mobile phone without voltage sag during active use.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation is marked on the phone housing and cell label.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the bench — BMS accepted charge without fault codes; fuel gauge IC initialized cleanly against the 1200mAh curve.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling any fast-charge mode to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tiptel Ergophone 6010 / 6011 / 6020 / 6021 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Tiptel Ergophone 6010, 6011, 6020, and 6021, along with three additional Ergophone variants. It fits the same physical footprint at 53.20 × 34.00 × 5.70mm and connects to the same charge circuit the phone already uses. Capacity is 4.44Wh — matching the original specification from Tiptel.

  • Ergophone 6010–6021 series fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V charge rail. The BMS on each variant communicates with the same fuel gauge IC, so the same cell works across all units without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge sequences on the Ergophone platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without tripping protection flags, and the charge IC engaged at the correct constant-current threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installation, run one complete discharge down to automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before regular use. The Ergophone's fuel gauge IC maps its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve during this first cycle — skipping it causes the percentage display to report inaccurate figures from the first day.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Ergophone after a cell swap

A fresh Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a broken-in one. The Ergophone's modem and screen together pull enough current during active use to drop cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still reads 25%. This happens most often during calls or screen-on navigation because those loads spike current draw sharply. After one full recalibration cycle, the fuel gauge IC learns where the actual voltage cliff sits and adjusts the reported percentage to match.

Phone not powering on after the battery has sat in storage

Li-ion cells that discharge below approximately 2.5V in storage trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens to prevent cell damage, and the phone will not respond to a normal power button press. Connect the Ergophone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until voltage clears the BMS reactivation threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, at which point the BMS closes and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Ergophone 6010 percentage jumps around after I put in the new battery — shows 60%, then suddenly 45%, then back up. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. It uses a coulomb counter that was mapped against a worn cell with different voltage characteristics, so readings from the new cell are unreliable until it recalibrates. Run one full discharge to automatic cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge rewrites its reference curve to match the new cell and the percentage display stabilises.

The Ergophone 6020 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. The charge IC pushes constant current into higher resistance, which generates more heat than you'd see after several cycles. It's most pronounced in the first two to three charges and reduces as the cell impedance settles. If the phone stays warm past the fifth charge cycle, check that the battery contacts are seated flush — a high-resistance connection at the connector causes the same symptom and does not resolve on its own.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery in my Ergophone 6011 — it only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge controller sometimes defaults to standard current while it verifies the new BMS handshake. This is a one-cycle safety behaviour — the controller confirms cell integrity before allowing higher charge current. Fully discharge the phone to automatic cutoff, then plug in and charge without interruption to 100%. On the second cycle, the charge IC re-evaluates the BMS response and restores the normal charge rate.
