Fits TP-Link Neffos X20 and X20 Pro smartphones; replaces OEM part NBL-43A4000.
3.85V, 3900mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full talk and standby time on the X20.
Connector seats flush into the factory battery slot with standard contact alignment and locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell in the X20 — BMS accepted the new pack on insertion without fault codes or voltage regulation delays.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TP-Link Neffos X20 / X20 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (NBL-43A4000)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the TP-Link Neffos X20 and Neffos X20 Pro smartphones (model numbers TP7071 and TP9131A). It replaces OEM part NBL-43A4000 and fits the original battery compartment without modification. Capacity is rated at 15.02Wh — matching the original cell specification.

  • Neffos X20 and X20 Pro compatibility: Both the X20 (TP7071) and X20 Pro (TP9131A) share the NBL-43A4000 cell format — same 85.30 × 62.60 × 4.30mm footprint, same 3.85V nominal rail, and the same BMS connector pinout. One battery fits both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Neffos X20 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault flags, and the protection circuit responded correctly to overvoltage and over-discharge cutoff thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. The fuel gauge IC on this platform calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift until the IC resets itself.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Neffos X20 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a faulty battery. The fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell in its memory. When the new cell hits a load spike — mobile data, screen-on burst, or a background sync — the IC reads the voltage drop against the wrong curve and triggers a shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. One full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current rewrites the coulomb counter baseline. After that cycle, the IC tracks the new cell accurately and shutdowns at low percentage stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. On the first charge, the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance cell, generating more heat than you'd see on a used battery. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and decreases as the cell's impedance drops. If the device stays warm past the second full charge, check that the back cover is seated flat — trapped air under the cover prevents the cell from dissipating heat into the chassis. Confirm the charge IC has dropped to trickle current (indicated by a slow-blinking charge LED or an OS reading above 4.3V) before handling the device after charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Neffos X20 shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new battery — it jumped from 45% to 12% in ten minutes. Is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty — the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter built into the X20's charge management circuit compares voltage readings against a stored curve, and a fresh cell has a different curve than a degraded one. Run one full discharge (let the phone shut itself off naturally) followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% at standard charge current — no fast charging during this cycle. After that cycle the IC resets its baseline and percentage tracking stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my Neffos X20 the moment I swapped the battery — it only slow-charges now. What happened?

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake runs through the battery BMS on the first connection after a cell swap. Some charge controllers issue a compatibility check and default to standard 5V/1A current if the BMS hasn't completed its initialisation cycle. Let the phone complete one full charge at standard current without interrupting it. On the second charge cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the BMS will have completed its handshake sequence and the charge IC should negotiate the higher current tier again.

My Neffos X20 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation. How do I recover it?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS trips into lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button or show a charge indicator. Connect the phone to a wall adapter (not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current) and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC delivers a low trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the BMS unlocks and normal charging resumes.
