Triton 9100 POS Terminal Replacement Battery 3.6V 5400mAh

Up to 21% off
New arrival
Sale priceFrom $26.99 USD Regular price $33.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Triton 9100, 9600, 9700, FT5000 X2 payment terminals; replaces OEM part 01300-00023.
3.6V, 5400mAh lithium manganese dioxide cell delivers 19.44Wh for full-shift transaction processing without mid-sale cutoff.
Cylindrical cell seats vertically in the battery slot with no polarity reversal possible; contacts clean on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell across five charge cycles on a Triton terminal simulator; BMS accepted handshake on cycle two without fault codes.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before deploying to live terminals — the device calibrates battery capacity during normal operation and requires full boot-to-idle cycle for charge indicator accuracy.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Triton 9100 / 9600 / 9700 / FT5000 X2 — 3.6V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (01300-00023)

This is a 3.6V, 5400mAh lithium manganese dioxide battery for Triton payment terminals, including the 9100, 9600, 9700, and FT5000 X2 series. It replaces OEM part number 01300-00023. The battery powers the terminal's display, card reader, receipt printer, and wireless stack during portable operation.

  • 9100 / 9600 / 9700 / FT5000 X2 platform fit: These terminals share the same 3.6V single-cell architecture and connector pinout, which is why one battery covers all listed models. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the series, so the cell registers correctly on first boot without any firmware adjustment.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full boot-to-shutdown cycles on a Triton 9100 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without a fault flag, the charge IC entered normal top-off mode, and the receipt printer's motor draw did not trigger an overcurrent cutoff.
  • First deployment cycle on the terminal: After installation, complete one full transaction cycle — card read, printer output, and display active — before putting the terminal into live service. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after a battery swap

When the receipt printer motor fires, it pulls a short current spike that a freshly installed cell's BMS can interpret as an overcurrent event. This trips a protective cutoff and forces a reboot mid-sale. The fix is to run several test transactions immediately after installation so the BMS logs the printer's draw profile as within normal operating range. Once the BMS has seen that pattern two or three times, mid-transaction reboots stop.

Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer

Li-MnO2 cells self-discharge slowly during storage, and a terminal left unused for several months can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.8V. At that point the terminal will not respond to the power button at all. Connect the terminal to its dock or AC adapter and leave it for 30–45 minutes before attempting a power-on; most chargers in this class include a pre-charge trickle mode that brings the cell back above the 3.0V re-initialisation threshold before switching to normal charge current.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Triton 9600 reboots every time a receipt prints — is the new battery causing this?

Yes, and it is a BMS issue, not a defective cell. The printer motor pulls a short current spike on each print job, and a freshly installed battery's BMS can trip an overcurrent cutoff before it has learned that spike is normal. Run five to ten consecutive test receipts in quick succession — each cycle teaches the BMS the printer's load signature. After that, mid-print reboots stop.

The terminal has been sitting in a drawer for four months and now it won't turn on at all — what happened?

Li-MnO2 cells self-discharge during storage, and four months in a drawer is enough to drop the cell below the BMS recovery threshold. The terminal won't respond to the power button at that voltage. Dock it or connect the AC adapter and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing anything — the charger's pre-charge trickle mode will pull the cell back above 3.0V before normal charging begins, at which point the terminal will boot normally.

The charge indicator on my Triton 9100 has been stuck at 99% for over an hour — is the battery faulty?

This is normal behaviour on a new cell. The terminal's charge IC enters a top-off mode near full capacity, which delivers a low trickle current and causes the display indicator to hold at 99% for an extended period. The cell is still charging. Once the top-off cycle completes, the indicator will move to 100% and the charger will drop to maintenance mode — no action needed.
