Fits Uniden TRU-C46 and TRU-C56 handsets; replaces OEM part numbers BT-925 and BBTY0471001.
3.7V Li-ion cell rated 750mAh delivers full talk time and standby runtime on DECT systems without voltage sag under transmit load.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against the compartment ledge.
We bench-tested this cell in a TRU-C46 base charger; BMS accepted voltage signature on first insertion and held steady through discharge cycles.
After installing, seat the handset fully in the base and let it charge for 16 hours before first use—Li-ion packs in DECT systems need a slow initial charge to calibrate the base station's fuel gauge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Uniden TRU-C46 / TRU-C56 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT-925)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion battery rated at 750mAh (2.78Wh), built to replace the OEM BT-925 pack in Uniden TRU-C46 and TRU-C56 cordless phone handsets. It fits the battery bay directly and connects via the same terminal layout as the original. Voltage and capacity match what the handset's charging circuit expects.

  • TRU-C46 and TRU-C56 compatibility: Both handsets run on the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion platform and share the BT-925 form factor, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. One replacement covers either model.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and load discharge on the TRU-C46 handset. The BMS accepted the base station charge signal without fault, and voltage held stable across both talk and standby draw cycles.
  • First charge on Li-ion cordless handsets: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge before first use. Li-ion cells that ship in storage-state can trigger a shallow charge termination if pulled early — the base needs time to bring the cell up from its resting voltage to full capacity.

Why the TRU-C46 loses range after a battery swap

DECT handsets draw a spike of current each time they transmit to the base station. If the replacement battery's internal resistance is higher than expected — or if the cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle — voltage sags under that RF transmit load. The handset's RF output drops to compensate, which shortens the usable range between handset and base. Running two or three full charge-discharge cycles brings the cell's internal resistance down and stabilises transmit voltage.

Handset not pairing with base after battery replacement

Removing the battery on some Uniden DECT handsets wipes the pairing registration stored in the handset's volatile memory. When the new battery is installed, the handset powers up without a stored base ID and shows no line or signal. To fix this, re-register the handset from the base station menu — on the TRU-C46, hold the FIND HANDSET button on the base for five seconds while the handset is powered on to re-initiate pairing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TRU-C46 talk time is still short after putting in the new battery — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells ship in a low storage-state charge, and the first one or two cycles often end early because the base station's charge timer kicks in before the cell reaches full capacity. Leave the handset in the base for a complete uninterrupted charge, then run it through two or three full charge-discharge cycles. Talk time should reach the rated level by the third cycle — if it hasn't, check that the handset contacts and base charging pins are clean and making solid contact.

The base station light stays red or shows a charging error after I installed the new battery — why won't it charge?

A Li-ion cell that has dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage can read as a fault to the base station's charge controller, which expects a cell already in the 3.0–3.7V range. Seat the handset firmly in the base and leave it for at least 30 minutes — most Uniden base stations will attempt a trickle pre-charge to bring the cell voltage up before switching to normal charge mode. If the error clears after that window, the charge completed normally. If the red light persists after an hour, clean the metal charge contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth and reseat.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This is almost always a seating issue, not a battery fault. The handset needs firm, level contact between its charge terminals and the base pins to maintain a trickle charge during standby. If the handset sits at a slight angle or the base contacts are corroded, the charging circuit never activates and standby draw slowly pulls the cell down to flat. Wipe the charge pins on the base and the terminals on the handset with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator light activates — that light confirms the circuit is live and the cell is being maintained.
