The PT630 cradle reads pack state through the dock contacts on the battery base. Remove the pack, wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle slot with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly. If the error clears within 30 seconds, contact resistance was the cause, not the cell itself.
