Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon EB575152VU — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1550mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Samsung smartphones that originally shipped with OEM part number EB575152VU. It also cross-references EB575152VA, EB575152LU, and EB575152LA. If your original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this cell replaces the stock unit directly.

  • Cross-reference compatibility: The EB575152 series shares a single physical footprint and connector across several Samsung smartphone variants. Verizon distributed the same cell under slightly different suffix codes (VA, LU, LA, VU) — all use the same voltage rail and connector pinout, so one cell covers the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on compatible Samsung hardware. The BMS accepted charge immediately, voltage climbed steadily to 4.2V, and no cutoff events triggered during load testing at normal screen and modem draw.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC in the phone is still referencing the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under modem and screen load than the phone expects. When voltage briefly sags under that load, the IC reads it as critically low and triggers a protective shutdown — even though the cell still has capacity. One full discharge-charge cycle on the new cell forces the coulomb counter to remap against the actual discharge curve, which eliminates most false shutdowns.

Phone reports wrong percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC calibrates to the discharge curve of the cell it last tracked. Swapping in a new cell breaks that calibration — the IC continues using stale reference data, so the percentage readout drifts or jumps erratically. Drain the battery until the phone shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After one complete cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My phone shuts off at around 25% after putting in this replacement battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to your old degraded cell's discharge curve, and the new cell hits a steeper voltage sag under modem and screen load than the IC expects, triggering a shutdown before the capacity is actually gone. Run one full discharge-charge cycle — drain until the phone powers itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after swapping the battery — what's happening?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BMS in a replacement cell may not immediately complete the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake that the phone's charge IC expects. This is normal — plug in with the standard charger and let the first cycle complete at standard rate. Once the BMS and the phone's charge IC have completed one full exchange, fast charging resumes on subsequent cycles.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat uninstalled for a few months — how do I recover it?

Cells in storage self-discharge, and if the voltage dropped below 2.5V the BMS trips into lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone sees no voltage on the connector and won't respond. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the phone will boot normally.
