Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Visonic PowerMaster 30 Control Panel — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (LTT-AA1300LSDX6B)
This is a 7.2V, 1500mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Visonic PowerMaster 30 control panel and compatible PowerMax series alarm panels. It provides backup power to the control panel during mains outages, keeping the alarm system armed and responsive. Fits models including the PowerMaster 30, PowerMax Complete, and Central PM30 control panels.
- PowerMaster 30 and PowerMax series compatibility: These panels share the same 7.2V Ni-MH battery format, connector pinout, and charge management circuit. The panel's onboard charger expects a Ni-MH cell at this voltage — substituting a different chemistry will cause incorrect charge termination and may damage the panel.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a PowerMaster 30 panel and confirmed the BMS accepted the battery, initiated trickle charge correctly, and cleared the low-battery fault after the standard float-charge period.
- Post-installation charge period: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this battery. Allow 24–48 hours on mains power for the panel to complete float charging before triggering any diagnostic test — otherwise the panel will report a low-battery fault even with a new cell installed.
Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell
A freshly fitted Ni-MH cell does not arrive fully charged. The PowerMaster 30 uses a supervised charge circuit that monitors cell voltage before clearing battery fault status. Until the cell reaches float voltage — typically after 24–48 hours on mains — the panel will continue to flag a low-battery condition. This is expected behaviour, not a sign of a faulty battery. Leave the panel powered on mains and the fault will clear automatically once the charge cycle completes.
Alarm losing programming during a power outage after battery replacement
If the panel loses its configuration during a mains failure shortly after a battery swap, the new cell has not yet been accepted into the charge circuit. The PowerMaster 30 requires a conditioning period on mains before the backup battery can sustain the panel through a real outage. A cell that has only been on float charge for a few hours may not hold enough capacity to maintain panel memory. Keep the panel on mains for a full 48 hours before testing backup behaviour or cutting mains power intentionally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My PowerMaster 30 still shows a low battery warning 6 hours after I fitted the new battery — did I get a faulty cell?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The PowerMaster 30 won't clear a low-battery fault until the Ni-MH pack reaches float voltage, which takes 24–48 hours on mains charge from a depleted state. The panel's charge circuit supervises cell voltage continuously and will not report full until that threshold is met. Leave the panel powered on mains and the fault will clear on its own — no action needed before the 48-hour mark.
The siren didn't trigger during a walk-test straight after I swapped the battery — is the new cell causing that?
Yes, indirectly. On a freshly installed Ni-MH cell, the PowerMaster 30 applies a short stabilisation delay before allowing siren activation — typically 30–60 seconds from power-up — to prevent false triggers while the charge circuit initialises. If the walk-test was run within that window, the siren may not sound. Wait for the panel to complete its startup sequence fully, confirm no faults are showing on the keypad display, then re-run the test.
After a power cut last night the panel showed a tamper fault — I replaced the battery two days ago, could that be it?
A tamper fault on the PowerMaster 30 is almost always triggered by the battery compartment cover or main panel lid not being fully closed after the battery swap. The panel monitors lid contact continuously and logs a tamper event the moment the cover is even slightly ajar — a power cut removes mains so any latent tamper condition surfaces immediately. Open the panel, reseat the lid firmly until the tamper switch clicks closed, then reset the fault from the keypad.
