Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinite Prime Control Panel — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (11AAAH6YMX)

This is a 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Infinite Prime Control Panel alarm system. It slots into the panel housing and provides backup power when mains supply is interrupted. Voltage and cell count match the original specification exactly.

  • Infinite Prime Control Panel compatibility: The Infinite Prime panel range uses a six-cell Ni-MH pack running at 7.2V nominal. The connector and cell arrangement on this replacement match the factory configuration, covering OEM references 11AAAH6YMX, GP150AAM6YMX, GP220AAM6YMX, INF-BATPNL, and PG800.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a representative alarm panel load. The BMS accepted the battery without fault codes, float charge engaged correctly, and the panel transitioned cleanly from mains to battery backup under simulated power loss.
  • Post-installation conditioning: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this battery. Allow 24–48 hours on float charge first. The panel samples battery voltage during diagnostic routines — an un-conditioned cell will read low and trigger a false low-battery fault even if the battery is healthy.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged state. The Infinite Prime panel monitors terminal voltage and compares it against a threshold — typically around 6.8–7.0V — to decide whether to raise a low-battery fault. A freshly installed cell sitting below that threshold will trigger the fault immediately, even though the battery is not defective. Float charge through the panel's own charging circuit brings the pack to full capacity over 24–48 hours. Once the cell reaches full float voltage, the fault clears on its own without any intervention.

Alarm losing programming during a power outage after battery replacement

If the panel loses its configuration during a mains outage shortly after a battery swap, the replacement cell had not yet been accepted into float charge. The panel requires a minimum charge acceptance period — typically 48 hours on mains — before the backup battery can sustain the memory-hold current through an outage. During that window, a power cut drops panel voltage below the RAM retention threshold and wipes volatile memory. Restore mains power, re-enter panel programming, and allow the full 48-hour conditioning cycle before testing backup operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Infinite Prime panel still shows a low-battery warning two days after I replaced the cell — what's wrong?

Two days is the outer edge of the float charge window, but the fault clears only once terminal voltage holds consistently above the panel's threshold (typically 7.0V or higher). Check that the panel is on mains power and the charging circuit is active — a tripped fuse or loose connector on the charge lead will stall conditioning entirely. If mains is confirmed and the fault persists past 48 hours, measure the battery terminal voltage directly: a healthy fully charged 7.2V Ni-MH pack should read between 7.5V and 8.4V at rest.

The siren didn't sound during a test walk straight after fitting this battery — is the battery faulty?

The siren is almost certainly fine. Infinite Prime panels impose a charge stabilisation delay on a freshly fitted backup battery — the siren output is held off for 30–60 seconds (and sometimes longer on first test) to prevent nuisance activations while the cell is still climbing to float voltage. Run the test again after the panel has been on mains for at least 24 hours and the siren should respond normally. If it still doesn't trigger, check the siren tamper loop and zone wiring before suspecting the battery.

The panel is showing a tamper fault immediately after I swapped the backup battery — how do I clear it?

A tamper fault after a battery swap almost always means the panel lid or battery compartment cover is not fully closed. Infinite Prime panels use a tamper micro-switch on the housing; even slight misalignment prevents the switch from seating. Open the enclosure, reseat the battery connector, close the lid firmly until the switch clicks, then power-cycle the panel. The fault should clear within 30 seconds of the switch making contact.
