Fits Vivo iQOO Z8 smartphones, replaces OEM part BA03 directly.
7.74V, 2400mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 18.58Wh to restore full charge cycles on this device.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with standard locking tab — no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in an iQOO Z8 charge cradle; BMS accepted the pack on first cycle with clean voltage ramp to 8.4V.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo IQOO Z8 — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BA03)

This is a 7.74V, 2400mAh (18.58Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo IQOO Z8 smartphone. It fits the BA03 OEM part number slot directly. Use it to restore power when the original cell has degraded, swells, or no longer holds charge.

  • IQOO Z8 fit: The IQOO Z8 uses a dual-cell Li-Polymer pack at a 7.74V nominal rail. The BA03 battery matches that voltage configuration and the BMS handshake the phone's charge IC expects. Fitting a mismatched voltage cell will cause the charge IC to reject the pack entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the IQOO Z8 platform and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the phone's fuel gauge IC. The charge IC accepted full protocol negotiation without lockout on the second cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When modem activity or screen-on load spikes current draw, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects at that state of charge. The IC sees what it thinks is an undervoltage condition and triggers a protective shutdown before the battery is actually empty. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these false shutdowns.

USB-PD fast charge not engaging on the first cycle after replacement

On the first cycle, the BMS in a new cell may not complete the handshake required for the phone to negotiate fast charge protocols. The charge IC defaults to standard 5V input rather than risk pushing high current into an unverified cell. Complete one full charge at standard speed first. After that cycle, fast charging should engage normally when the BMS and charge IC have exchanged authentication data.

Frequently Asked Questions

My IQOO Z8 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the battery dead already?

No — the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge under load. When the modem or display spikes current draw, the phone sees a false undervoltage reading and shuts down before the battery is actually empty. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard (non-fast) charge speed. That one cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

The battery percentage on my IQOO Z8 is jumping around — it just went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without me doing anything heavy.

The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself against a new cell by sampling voltage and current over several cycles, and until that process is complete, percentage readings can jump erratically. This is a firmware-level learning process, not a fault in the battery itself. Run two to three full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge speed and the readings will stabilise as the IC builds an accurate map of the new cell's discharge curve.

My IQOO Z8 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BA03 cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during that time, the BMS will have entered a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone will appear completely dead. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes.
