Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Z5x — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-G7)
The B-G7 is a 3.85V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original battery in the Vivo Z5x and Z5x Premium Edition. It restores full capacity when the original cell has degraded through charge cycles. This battery fits all Z5x variants listed, including Dual SIM and TD-LTE models.
- Z5x variant compatibility: All Z5x models in this listing share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The 90.10 × 65.10 × 4.70mm cell seats correctly across standard, Premium Edition, and Dual SIM TD-LTE builds without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on Z5x hardware, confirming the BMS handshake completes normally and the charge IC accepts current without fault flags. Voltage at full charge held at 4.35V as expected for this chemistry.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging is introduced into an uncalibrated state.
Why the Z5x reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Z5x uses a coulomb counter that tracks charge relative to a stored discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC still references the old curve, so the percentage shown does not match actual charge state. This mismatch causes the OS to display inflated or deflated readings until the gauge relearns. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the reference points. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated the new cell's voltage cliff. Under high load — modem switching, screen at full brightness — cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone interprets this as a fault and shuts down to protect the cell. Run one full cycle with mobile data active and screen brightness high to force the gauge IC through a realistic load profile. After calibration, shutdown should not occur above 5–8%.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Z5x won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone should boot normally. If the screen shows no charge indicator after 45 minutes, the cell has discharged too deeply to recover and the BMS will not re-initialise.
Fast charging stopped working on the Z5x after I put this battery in — it only charges slowly now?
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell may not complete the handshake required for the phone's proprietary fast charge protocol until the charge IC has logged one full charge cycle. Connect to the original Vivo fast charger and run one full charge from near-flat to 100% without interruption. After that cycle completes, the fast charge protocol should resume on subsequent connections. Using a third-party charger on the first cycle can delay this re-initialisation.
The battery percentage on my Z5x keeps jumping around — it'll show 60%, then suddenly drop to 41%, then jump back up?
The coulomb counter is recalibrating against the new cell's actual discharge curve and the readings will be erratic until it has enough data. This is not a fault with the cell itself — it is the fuel gauge IC reconciling stored reference data against real-time voltage measurements it has not seen before. Run two full discharge-charge cycles with the phone in normal use, keeping mobile data on so load draw is realistic. After the second complete cycle, the percentage display should track steadily without large jumps.
