Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko KAR / KaWa / FiJi Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Kar, FiJi, KaWa)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell for the Wiko KAR, KaWa, and FiJi smartphones. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell that can no longer hold a stable charge under normal phone load. Voltage and physical dimensions match OEM spec: 59.66 × 38.10 × 4.80mm.
- KAR, KaWa, and FiJi compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and battery bay dimensions — one cell fits all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the bench. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake cleanly and held voltage above the low-battery cutoff threshold under simulated screen and modem load.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before reporting accurate percentages to the OS.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko KAR after a cell swap
The Wiko KAR's fuel gauge IC stores a charge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile, which means the IC underestimates remaining capacity at mid-range states of charge. When the modem or display draws a current spike, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the OS still shows 20–30%. One complete slow-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these false shutdowns.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells in extended storage self-discharge below 2.5V per cell. At that voltage, the BMS trips into lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button or show a charging indicator. Connect the phone to a low-current USB charger (500mA wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. Once the cell climbs above approximately 2.8V, the BMS releases and the phone will boot or show the charging screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Wiko KAR shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is most likely fine. The fuel gauge IC on the KAR is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell, so it cannot accurately track where the new cell's voltage cliff actually sits. Under a modem or screen load spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the OS registers low battery. Run one full slow discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the coulomb counter and the shutdowns typically stop.
The battery percentage on my Wiko KAR jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — 60% one minute, 45% the next.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's impedance profile. The original calibration data stored on-chip no longer matches the new cell's actual open-circuit voltage curve. The IC is making real-time corrections, which shows up as percentage jumps. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at a slow charge rate (standard 5V/1A USB) and the readings will stabilise as the IC rewrites its calibration table.
Fast charging stopped working on the Wiko KAR after I installed the new battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge controller implementations on budget Android handsets default to trickle or standard charge mode until the BMS confirms cell health over at least one complete cycle. The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake requires the BMS to report a valid cell state — a brand-new uncalibrated cell may not pass that check immediately. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle from near-empty to 100%, then reconnect your fast charger. If the fast-charge indicator does not return after that, verify the charger outputs at least 9V/1.67A and the cable supports data lines.
