Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM4W)
The BM4W is a 3.85V, 4600mAh (17.71Wh) lithium-polymer cell that fits the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G, Mi 10i 5G, M2007J17G, and M2007J17I. It replaces an original cell that has degraded through repeated charge cycles or lost the ability to hold a charge. Voltage and physical dimensions — 87.40 x 64.30 x 5.00mm — match the OEM specification directly.
- Mi 10T Lite 5G and Mi 10i 5G compatibility: Both the M2007J17G and M2007J17I share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — that is why a single BM4W cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Mi 10T Lite 5G and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, reported capacity correctly after one calibration cycle, and did not trigger thermal cutoff under sustained 5G modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mi 10T Lite 5G
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the 5G modem, display, and processor draw current simultaneously, a degraded or freshly installed uncalibrated cell can drop below the BMS cutoff voltage under load — even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The phone shuts down to protect the cell. One full discharge-charge calibration cycle resolves this on a new BM4W by anchoring the fuel gauge IC to the actual discharge curve of the new cell. After calibration, the reported percentage tracks real cell voltage accurately down to the 3.0V lower threshold.
Phone will not power on after the BM4W sat in storage
Lithium-polymer cells shipped or stored for extended periods can fall below 2.5V per cell, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent further discharge damage. The Mi 10T Lite 5G will show no response — no charging animation, no vibration. Connect the phone to a 5V/2A charger and leave it undisturbed for 15–30 minutes; the BMS uses a trickle-charge recovery path to bring the cell back above the lockout threshold before allowing normal charging to resume. If the screen still shows nothing after 30 minutes, disconnect and reconnect the charger once to re-trigger the BMS initialisation sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Mi 10T Lite 5G show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the BM4W?
The fuel gauge IC on this phone uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. When a new BM4W goes in, that calibration is mismatched, so the reported percentage drifts — often reading higher or lower than actual cell voltage. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve and percentage reporting stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what happened?
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new BM4W has not yet confirmed thermal and impedance parameters to the charge IC, so the phone falls back to standard 5V charging and does not negotiate the higher-current protocol. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. On the second charge the BMS handshake completes and fast charging resumes at the rated current.
The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging the new BM4W — is that a problem?
A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, which generates more heat during the constant-current phase of charging. This is most noticeable on the first two or three charge cycles and reduces as the cell's impedance settles. Keep the phone out of its case during the first few charges and charge on a flat surface rather than a bed or sofa. If the back panel becomes too hot to hold comfortably — above approximately 45°C — disconnect the charger and let the phone cool before resuming.
