Fits Xiaomi Note 2 Standard smartphone; replaces OEM part number BM48.
3.85V nominal, 3700mAh capacity powers core functions like calling, messaging, and app usage reliably.
Connector sits flush against internal slot with standard phone battery locking tab; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested the BM48 cell on a Note 2 Standard motherboard; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake without fault codes on insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Note 2 Standard — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM48)

This is a 3700mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V nominal, replacing the OEM BM48 battery in the Xiaomi Note 2 Standard (model 2015211). It fits the internal bay directly and connects to the same flex cable and fuel gauge IC as the factory cell. Dimensions are 76.80 × 64.50 × 4.30mm — confirm clearance before ordering if your unit has been previously repaired.

  • Note 2 Standard fit: The 2015211 variant uses a dedicated BM48 cell with a specific connector orientation and BMS signal line. This replacement matches that pinout, so the fuel gauge IC on the board can read cell voltage and state-of-charge correctly from the first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Note 2 Standard board. The BMS accepted the handshake on first connection, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged as expected under load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the coulomb counter a clean reference cycle against the new cell before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated state-of-charge curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Note 2 Standard after a cell swap

A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC trained on. At moderate-to-heavy load — screen at full brightness, mobile data active, or GPS running — the cell voltage can drop below the board's cutoff threshold before the percentage readout catches up. The phone shuts off even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off resets the coulomb counter and aligns the percentage display to the actual cell curve.

Phone won't power on after the BM48 sat in storage for several months

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS trips into lockout to prevent damage and the phone shows no response when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a slow 5W charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — the BMS needs a trickle current to recover enough voltage to release the lockout. Do not use a fast charger for this step; high current into a deeply discharged cell can trip the protection circuit again immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Xiaomi Note 2 Standard shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new BM48 — it jumped from 43% to 11% mid-use. Is the replacement cell faulty?

The fuel gauge IC on the Note 2 Standard board is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell — not the new one. The percentage reading drifts or jumps because the coulomb counter's reference points no longer match the actual cell behaviour. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that cycle the gauge recalibrates and the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on the Note 2 Standard right after I replaced the battery — the phone only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Note 2 Standard can default to a conservative low-current profile while it reads the new BMS signal. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault in the replacement cell. Complete one full charge at the slow rate, unplug, then reconnect — the charge IC re-negotiates the protocol and fast charging should resume. If it does not, check that the battery flex cable connector is fully seated, as a partial connection causes the board to read a high-impedance cell and drop to trickle mode permanently.

The Note 2 Standard feels warm near the battery compartment while charging with the new BM48 — is that normal?

A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage across more resistance during the first few cycles, generating mild heat. That warmth near the battery bay on cycles one through three is expected and reduces as the cell conditions. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charge IC throttles back mid-charge, stop charging and check that the replacement cell dimensions match the 76.80 × 64.50 × 4.30mm spec, as a mis-sized cell sitting under pressure in the bay traps heat. Normal operating temperature during charge should stay below 40°C on the rear casing.
