Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Yale HSA3095 Home Monitoring Alarm Control Panel — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (GP60AAS6YMX)

This is a 7.2V, 1500mAh Ni-MH backup battery for the Yale HSA3095 Home Monitoring Alarm Control Panel. It replaces OEM part GP60AAS6YMX and slots directly into the control panel housing. When mains power drops, this cell keeps the panel active and alert functions running.

  • HSA3095 panel compatibility: The HSA3095 uses a dedicated Ni-MH pack at 7.2V to match the panel's charge management circuit. Swapping to a different voltage or chemistry causes the BMS to reject the cell or report a continuous fault condition.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and BMS handshake cycles on the HSA3095 platform. The panel accepted the cell without fault flags and float charge engaged correctly within the expected window.
  • Post-install conditioning on the HSA3095: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The HSA3095 panel requires 24–48 hours on float charge before its battery monitoring circuit reports accurate status. Testing before that window clears often triggers a false low-battery warning.

Alarm panel losing saved programming during a power cut with a new battery fitted

If the HSA3095 loses zone settings or user codes during a mains outage, the backup cell has not yet been accepted by the panel's charge circuit. A freshly installed Ni-MH pack needs a minimum 48 hours on charge before it holds enough capacity to sustain panel memory under load. Fitting the battery and immediately cutting mains power does not give the cell time to condition. Leave the panel on mains for 48 hours after installation before testing backup behaviour.

Siren not sounding during a manual test after backup battery replacement

The HSA3095 applies a 30–60 second stabilisation delay on the siren output when the backup cell is newly installed. This is a built-in behaviour — not a wiring fault or a faulty replacement cell. The panel holds off siren activation while it reads initial battery state from the new cell. Wait at least 60 seconds after fitting the battery before running a siren test, and confirm the cell is seated firmly with the cover fully closed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Yale HSA3095 panel is showing a low battery warning two hours after I fitted a brand new cell — is it faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The HSA3095's battery monitoring circuit needs 24–48 hours on float charge before it reads a newly installed Ni-MH pack as full. Fitting a new cell and checking status within the first few hours will consistently produce a low-battery flag regardless of actual cell condition. Leave the panel powered on mains for 48 hours, then check the status again.

The HSA3095 panel lost all my zone programming during last night's power cut — the battery was only fitted a week ago.

A week is not long enough if the panel did not get a full 48-hour conditioning charge before the outage hit. Ni-MH cells at 7.2V need that initial charge window to reach the voltage threshold the HSA3095 requires to sustain memory under backup load. Restore your programming, keep the panel on mains uninterrupted for 48 hours, then verify backup behaviour during a brief planned test.

After swapping the battery on my HSA3095, the panel is now showing a tamper fault I never had before.

This is almost always a cover seating issue. The HSA3095 has a tamper contact on the battery compartment lid — if the cover is not fully clicked closed after cell access, the panel logs a tamper fault immediately. Open the panel housing, reseat the battery, and press the cover firmly until it clicks. The tamper fault should clear within a few seconds of the contact re-engaging.
