Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Yeacomm P21 4G — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Z2200B)
This 3.7V 3350mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM Z2200B cell in the Yeacomm P21 4G portable mobile hotspot. The P21 4G runs a combined 4G LTE modem and dual-band Wi-Fi radio simultaneously, which puts steady current demand on the battery throughout every session. Swap this in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the device shuts down before expected.
- P21 4G platform fit: The Z2200B cell is specific to the P21 4G form factor — the connector pin-out and BMS data lines match the hotspot's charge controller directly. No adapters required.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell under a simulated multi-device load — modem active, Wi-Fi broadcasting — and monitored BMS cutoff thresholds. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage floor without false shutdowns under sustained draw.
- Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the P21 4G on a hard, open surface during long sessions. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at full transmit power. That extra heat sits in the battery cavity and accelerates cell wear over time.
Why the P21 4G drops all connected clients mid-session
The P21 4G runs its LTE modem and Wi-Fi radio from the same battery rail. When several devices are active at once, peak current draw spikes sharply — especially during file transfers or video streaming. If the battery cell has degraded internal resistance, voltage on that rail dips enough to trigger the BMS under-voltage cutoff, and the unit restarts. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail stable through those peaks and prevents the cutoff from firing.
P21 4G won't power on after sitting unused
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the P21 4G was left without charging for several weeks or months, the battery voltage may have dropped below the minimum boot threshold — typically around 3.0V per cell. The device's charge controller may refuse to start a charge cycle at that point, making the unit appear completely dead. Connect the hotspot to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the original cell has dropped below recovery voltage, replacing it with this Z2200B cell will restore normal boot behaviour immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
My P21 4G keeps dropping all Wi-Fi clients for a few seconds then reconnecting — is this a battery issue?
Yes, and it's a specific one. The LTE modem and Wi-Fi radio both pull from the same 3.7V cell simultaneously, and peak current during multi-device activity causes a voltage sag that trips the BMS cutoff on a worn cell. The device restarts the radio stack to recover, which drops every connected client. Replace the battery and check that the cell voltage holds above 3.5V under load — a healthy Z2200B cell won't sag enough to trigger that cutoff.
The P21 4G battery drains much faster when I'm in an area with weak signal — is something wrong with the replacement battery?
Nothing is wrong. In a weak signal area, the LTE modem continuously boosts transmit power to maintain the network link — that's the radio drawing maximum current, not a battery fault. Add multiple connected devices on top of that and you're near the upper limit of what a 3350mAh cell can sustain per charge cycle. Move the hotspot closer to a window or an exterior wall to improve signal strength; that alone reduces modem transmit power and extends each charge cycle noticeably.
The P21 4G gets quite warm during long sessions and then shuts off — what's causing it?
The cellular radio generates significant heat when running at high transmit power for extended periods, and that heat builds up inside the device housing where the battery sits. Once the battery temperature exceeds the BMS thermal cutoff threshold, the protection circuit shuts the unit down to prevent cell damage. Set the hotspot on a hard, flat surface away from fabric or soft materials that trap heat — never in a bag or pocket during active use. Let the unit cool for five minutes before restarting, and the BMS will re-enable discharge normally.
