Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zen-O Lite Portable Oxygen Concentrator (RS-00608) — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V 6400mAh (92.16Wh) lithium-ion battery fits the Zen-O Lite Portable Oxygen Concentrator, model RS-00608. It replaces the original pack directly and restores full operating capacity for patients using supplemental oxygen therapy away from a fixed power source. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original specification.
- RS-00608 platform fit: The Zen-O Lite runs a 14.4V nominal bus tied to a BMS that monitors cell balance and thermal state continuously. This pack matches that voltage rail and BMS communication profile, so the concentrator reads charge state correctly and does not flag a battery fault on startup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the pack through the concentrator's full operating load — including the compressor motor start draw — and confirmed the BMS held without tripping. Cell balance across the pack stayed within 30mV throughout the test.
- Compressor restart behaviour after low-battery cutoff: If the concentrator shuts down on a depleted pack, recharge to at least 50% before restarting. The compressor motor draws a short current spike on startup; a partially discharged cell group can trip the BMS before oxygen flow resumes, leaving the unit unresponsive until the pack recovers.
Why the Zen-O Lite stops delivering oxygen mid-session with charge still showing
The RS-00608 compressor cycles on and off to maintain oxygen output, and each restart pulls a brief high-current spike. If individual cells within the pack have aged unevenly, that spike can push one cell group below the BMS undervoltage threshold even when the display still shows a partial charge. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, and the concentrator stops. A new, balanced pack eliminates the weak cell group causing that dropout. After fitting the replacement, allow a full charge cycle before relying on the battery in a mobile session.
Zen-O Lite not powering on after the battery sat unused for several months
Li-ion packs self-discharge during storage, and if the Zen-O Lite sat unused long enough, the pack voltage can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or roughly 10V at pack level for this configuration. At that point the BMS enters a sleep state and the concentrator shows no response when the power button is pressed. Connect the battery to the OEM charger and leave it for at least two hours without interruption; most chargers apply a low trickle current that pulls the pack back above the recovery threshold. Once the charger LED confirms charge is flowing normally, continue to a full charge before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Zen-O Lite shows a charge level on screen but cuts out before the session ends — what's causing that?
The concentrator's compressor pulls a current spike every time it restarts to maintain oxygen pressure. If one cell group in the pack is weaker than the rest, that spike drops it below the BMS cutoff voltage even though the display still reads a partial charge. The BMS shuts power immediately to protect the cells, and the unit stops mid-session. Fit a fresh pack, charge it fully, and confirm the display reads 100% before your next outing.
The Zen-O Lite powers on but shuts off as soon as oxygen flow starts — is that a different fault from a dead battery?
Yes — this is a compressor load trip, not a flat battery. When the compressor initialises oxygen delivery, it draws a short high-current spike. A degraded or deeply discharged pack cannot sustain that spike, so the BMS cuts output within the first few seconds of flow. Charge the replacement pack to full before the first use and let the concentrator run through one complete oxygen delivery cycle at home before travel. If the fault repeats on a fully charged new pack, check the charger output voltage — it should read between 16.4V and 16.8V under no load.
The battery charged overnight but the Zen-O Lite's indicator is jumping between charge levels every time it restarts — is the new pack faulty?
Not necessarily — this is a recalibration issue. The concentrator maps its charge display against the voltage curve of the previous pack. A new cell has a slightly different curve, and the display oscillates until the unit logs a full discharge-to-charge cycle. Run the battery down to the low-battery warning through normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one full cycle the indicator stabilises and tracks accurately against the new pack's actual state of charge.
