Fits ZTE N9120 and Avid 4G smartphones, replaces OEM part Li3817T42P3h735044.
3.7V, 3600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full power to processor, display, and modem draw.
Connector matches OEM slot exactly; physical dimensions 73.15 x 49.60 x 8.90mm, no modification needed.
We ran full discharge cycles on the BMS; cell voltage held steady under sustained load, no early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE N9120 / Avid 4G — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3817T42P3h735044)

This is a 3.7V, 3600mAh Li-ion battery for the ZTE N9120 and Avid 4G smartphones. It matches the OEM part number Li3817T42P3h735044 and fits the same battery bay without modification. Voltage and physical dimensions — 73.15 × 49.60 × 8.90mm — match the original cell specification.

  • N9120 and Avid 4G platform fit: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. One cell covers both models because ZTE used the same hardware platform across the N9120 and its Avid 4G variant.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the N9120 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without interruption, and no thermal flags were triggered during the full charge cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Why the N9120 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The N9120 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a charge curve based on the old cell's internal resistance and discharge profile. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still reading against that old curve. This causes the percentage display to jump, stall, or read higher than the actual state of charge. One full discharge to auto-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display load requires, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. On the N9120, simultaneous LTE activity and screen-on load can pull enough current to cause a voltage sag below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V per cell — before the percentage reaches zero. It is more common in the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Running one full discharge cycle resolves the mismatch between reported and actual capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE N9120 shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the N9120 is still using the discharge curve from the old battery, so it misreads how much charge is left. When the modem or screen draws a spike of current, the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff — around 3.0V — even though the display shows 25% remaining. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff and then charge uninterrupted to 100% to force the IC to recalibrate.

The N9120 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The cell likely dropped below 2.5V during storage, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will respond. If the charge LED activates after a few minutes, the cell is recovering normally.

Fast charging stopped working on the N9120 right after I swapped the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC defaults to a lower current rate while it reads the cell's internal impedance. This is normal BMS behaviour — the controller is verifying it is not overdriving a high-impedance cell. Complete one full charge to 100% at the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. The IC should accept the higher charge rate from the second cycle onward.
