Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro — 7.74V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3945T44P8H556490)
This 7.74V Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro (NX669J-P). It runs at 2200mAh / 17.03Wh and fits the same footprint as the OEM unit. If your phone shuts down early, charges to a lower percentage each cycle, or won't hold charge under gaming load, the cell has degraded and needs replacing.
- NX669J-P compatibility: The Red Magic 6 Pro uses a dual-cell Li-Polymer pack with a BMS that monitors individual cell voltage rails. This replacement matches the OEM cell configuration, connector pinout, and nominal voltage so the existing charge IC and BMS handshake without firmware errors.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge sequences on the NX669J-P board. The BMS accepted the cell on first contact, charge termination triggered correctly at 8.68V, and no thermal events occurred during the 65W fast-charge cycle.
- First-cycle fast charge precaution: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Red Magic 6 Pro after a cell swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low state-of-charge, so the phone hits the hardware undervoltage cutoff before the OS percentage reaches zero. The phone reads 25% but the cell is already below the BMS floor voltage under display and modem load. One full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate forces the coulomb counter to resync against the new cell's actual curve — after that, shutdowns align correctly with the reported percentage.
OS reports battery percentage jumping erratically after replacement
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a fault with the new cell. The coulomb counter accumulated error data from hundreds of cycles on the old cell and carries that into its first readings on the replacement. The IC needs a clean reference point. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this gives the fuel gauge IC a full capacity reference and stabilises percentage reporting from the next cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Red Magic 6 Pro won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
It is likely in BMS lockout. When a Li-Polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS cuts all output to prevent unsafe discharge. Connect the phone to its original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC will trickle-feed current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage crosses approximately 3.0V per cell, the BMS re-enables output and the phone will power on normally.
The Red Magic 6 Pro feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after installing this replacement — should I stop?
Mild warmth on the first two or three charge cycles is expected with a new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell. The charge IC runs a higher initial voltage differential across the cell until internal resistance settles. If the phone gets hot to the touch or charge stops and restarts repeatedly, that points to a charge IC fault or a poor battery connector seating — reseat the connector and check for bent pins at the board-side socket before continuing.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on the Red Magic 6 Pro — the phone only charges slowly now.
The Red Magic 6 Pro's proprietary fast-charge protocol requires the BMS to complete a handshake with the charge IC before high-current mode is enabled. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS sometimes withholds that handshake until it has confirmed cell voltage stability. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. If fast charging still does not engage after that, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected BMS data line will prevent the charge IC from receiving protocol authorisation and lock the charger into standard 5V output.
