Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Nubia Z11 Max — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3839T43P6h406790)
This 3.8V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the ZTE Nubia Z11 Max (NX523, NX523J). It matches OEM part number Li3839T43P6h406790 and fits the physical footprint at 88.50 × 66.90 × 3.70 mm. Capacity is 15.2Wh, identical to the factory specification.
- NX523 and NX523J compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both board revisions without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the NX523 board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC held the correct 4.35V cutoff throughout.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nubia Z11 Max after a cell swap
The Z11 Max uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity slope, so the reported percentage drifts from actual state of charge. Under modem transmission or screen brightness peaks, the real cell voltage can drop below the minimum threshold while the OS still reads 25%. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the fuel gauge IC to reset its end-point registers against the new cell.
OS reporting erratic or frozen battery percentage after replacement
When the old cell is removed, the coulomb counter loses its learned capacity reference. Until one complete cycle runs, the IC interpolates from stale register values, causing percentage jumps or a reading that barely moves for long stretches. This is a software calibration state, not a cell defect. Drain the phone until it shuts off automatically, then charge in one session to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the percentage tracking stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nubia Z11 Max shuts off at around 25% after I fitted the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the NX523 board was calibrated to the original cell's voltage curve, and the new cell's discharge slope is different enough to fool it. The phone cuts power when real voltage drops below ~3.5V even though the OS still reads 25%. Run one full cycle — drain to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter resets its end-point registers against the new cell.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my NX523 — it only trickle charges now.
On first contact with a new cell, the charge IC on the Z11 Max defaults to a low-current pre-charge mode until it verifies the BMS handshake is stable. If you disconnected and reconnected the battery more than once during installation, the IC may still be in that cautious pre-charge state. Power the phone off completely, leave it on charge for 15 minutes without turning it on, then reboot. If fast charge still does not engage after one full cycle, check that the connector is fully seated — a partially seated ribbon can interrupt the BMS data line and hold the charge IC in trickle mode indefinitely.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if this one dropped below 2.5V the BMS has triggered a lockout to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone will not power on because the BMS blocks output until the cell is recovered. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will feed a low recovery current into the cell; once voltage climbs above 3.0V the BMS releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.
