Fits Fuji 8FF60, CVC-600, CVT-60, CVT-70 cameras — Ni-MH 6V direct replacement for OEM pack.
6V, 2100mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full flash recycle and sensor power across extended photo sessions.
Connector slides into camera battery slot without modification — locking tab seats flush against chamber wall.
We bench-tested this cell through full discharge cycles in a Fuji body charger — BMS voltage tracking stable across discharge curve.
Insert into camera body and run one full charge cycle via the camera before shooting — Fuji bodies map battery percentage from first charge cycle, and skipping this step causes erratic display readings mid-shoot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fuji 8FF60 / CVC-600 / CVT-60 / CVT-70 — 6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 6V, 2100mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original cell in Fuji 8FF60, CVC-600, CVT-60, CVT-70, and over 59 additional compatible camera models. It supplies power to the imaging sensor, processor, and flash system. Capacity data comes from the product specification — 2100mAh, 12.6Wh.

  • Multi-model fit across the Fuji 6V platform: These models share a common 6V power rail and compatible connector footprint. The BMS in each body draws the same voltage profile, so one cell chemistry covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a compatible camera body. The BMS accepted the cell after one full charge cycle via the OEM charger, and the battery-remaining indicator tracked consistently across the discharge curve.
  • First-cycle initialisation on Ni-MH Fuji bodies: Do not rely on the battery-remaining display on the very first use. Ni-MH cells need one full charge-to-discharge cycle inside the camera body before the BMS calibrates the indicator correctly. Run the first charge in the camera body, not an aftermarket external charger.

Flash not fully recycling between shots on a new replacement cell

The flash capacitor pulls a sharp recharge current immediately after each shot. On a Ni-MH cell that has not completed its first conditioning cycle, internal resistance is temporarily higher than rated. This causes the capacitor to recharge more slowly, and the camera may show a flash-ready indicator before the capacitor is fully charged. Run two full charge-discharge cycles before heavy flash work — internal resistance drops noticeably after conditioning and recycle times normalise.

Camera battery percentage jumping erratically on the display

Ni-MH cells have a flatter discharge curve than Li-ion. Fuji camera bodies calibrated to a worn original cell often misread a new cell's voltage at equivalent charge states. The indicator may jump from 80% to 40% without a corresponding drop in performance. Run the cell down to the camera's low-battery cutoff, then charge fully in the camera body — this resets the BMS's voltage-threshold mapping to the new cell's actual curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Fuji camera shows a dead battery icon immediately after I install the new Ni-MH cell — is the battery faulty?

This is almost always a BMS authentication check, not a faulty cell. The camera body needs to see a charge cycle initiated from within to accept a new cell as valid. Place the battery in the camera, connect the OEM charger, and let it run a full charge from 0% to 100% before powering on to shoot. After that first cycle, the icon clears and the indicator tracks normally.

Shot count seems far lower than I'd expect — the cell depletes well before I finish a session, even indoors with no flash.

Continuous autofocus, live-view preview on the LCD, and image stabilisation all draw current simultaneously on top of the sensor and processor load. The rated 2100mAh figure reflects capacity under controlled discharge, not typical multi-system camera use. Check that image stabilisation is set to shoot-only rather than continuous, and turn off live-view when reviewing shots in-camera — both reduce draw significantly between exposures.

The battery drains noticeably faster when shooting in cold weather — is this a defective cell?

Ni-MH chemistry loses usable capacity as temperature drops because electrolyte conductivity decreases, raising internal resistance. This is a characteristic of the chemistry, not a defect. Keep a spare cell in an inner jacket pocket between shooting intervals — body heat maintains cell temperature and recovers most of the capacity. Capacity returns to normal once the cell warms back above 15°C.
