Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GSmart Mika M2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AC50BOX)

This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the AC50BOX cell in the GSmart Mika M2 smartphone. It fits the original battery slot with the same 78.30 x 56.08 x 4.20 mm footprint. Use the capacity figure from the product data — 2000mAh — as the reference for this cell.

  • Mika M2 fit: The Mika M2 uses a single-cell 3.7V nominal Li-ion pack with a connector pinout and BMS handshake specific to this chassis. Swapping to any cell outside the AC50BOX spec risks a BMS rejection flag that prevents charging entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Mika M2 platform. The BMS accepted charge on the first cycle, protection circuits tripped at the correct cutoff voltages, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking the new discharge curve without manual reset.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge mode and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Mika M2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Mika M2 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC continues reading voltage against the old map, so it reports percentages that are off by 10–20%. One full discharge cycle — run the phone down until it shuts off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — forces the coulomb counter to rebuild the curve against the new cell. After that single cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mika M2 after replacement

This is a voltage cliff failure. The cell's terminal voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load before the fuel gauge IC registers a low-battery warning. The phone shuts down to protect the cell even though the percentage display still reads mid-range. It happens most often on the first few cycles while the fuel gauge recalibrates. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and confirm the cell resting voltage reads at least 3.75V after a full charge before resuming normal use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mika M2 won't turn on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below approximately 2.5V from extended storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs a trickle-charge phase to bring the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond. If the battery icon appears after that wait, the cell is recovering; continue charging to 100% before first use.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell has not yet negotiated a charge profile with the phone's charge IC. The system defaults to standard 5V/1A charging as a safety fallback. Run one complete charge to 100% at this slow rate, then disconnect and power the phone fully off before reconnecting the charger. On the second cycle, the charge IC re-initiates the proprietary handshake and fast charging resumes at the correct current.

The Mika M2 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a worn cell that has been cycled hundreds of times. The charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, and the extra resistive heat is normal for the first two to three cycles. Warmth — not hot — near the battery compartment is expected. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or the charger disconnects early, stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated, then restart at a lower ambient temperature.
